I am curious what many of you mean by case "touched" as written in your signatures. Is it the date when the case is updated online?

Yes, you're right...that's when your status is updated on line.

Yep, thats right, it is the date when the case is updated online, when an immigration officer works on your file its considered being 'touched'. But, not everybody gets touched im afraid, I have never been touched!

When you sign up at the USCIS online case status, you are able to pull up a portfolio that shows the date your file was last updated. Every time the date changes, it is called a 'touch'. The actual case status may not change for every change date change.
