I know a Russian (St. Petersburg) woman that a retired judge met and brought over and then married. She claimed abuse after a few years. She divorced married three more times by the age of 41. She has a track record of claiming abuse by all husbands in some form or another. She also claimed sexual harrassment at one job and then physical harrassment at another job. She is very pretty so people believe her when she lies but she is a master manipulator and evil. We speculate she was married in Russia so that is 5 husbands by the time she is 41. She did adjust her status and is now a proud American citizen. She almost ruined one man financially.

Be careful who you marry and don't believe what people tell you especially if they have a lot of stories because those are the ones that something will happen to again in the future.

With all due respect to the OP, she may be blowing smoke. People notoriously lie on Facebook. If her circumstances are what she claims then there's zero chance she'll be able to adjust status. She's married to an LPR, so she'd have to wait until her priority date was current and she'd need lawful non-immigrant status at the time. Unlawful presence is not waived for family preference visa categories. Even if her husband became a US citizen, she married him after she was ordered removed, and they are required to presume that a marriage after removal proceedings have begun is a sham. Further, she was ordered removed because her previous marriage was determined to be a sham. There's is NO WAY they would accept ANY evidence she was able to produce that would convince them that this marriage wasn't also a sham.

Either her lawyer is guilty of outright lying to her, or she's fabricated a fantasy that makes it appear she'll be a lawful permanent resident sometime soon. I've known a few illegal immigrants who perpetually lived in the same fantasy world, and would get extremely upset if anyone tried to point out that there was no way they would ever get legal status without leaving the US first.

I am not sure about who you know that lies on Facebook.I am a very respectable person, who does not need to come on a site to lie...geez???

I have all the information, which I will NOT provide on a website. She has been here since 2001/2002.I have not mentioned the entire situation,as I feel that it is too much to post.

Jim wasn't accusing you of lying. He was saying your friend may be lying and claiming she was going to be an LPR when in fact she is and will continue to be illegal.

I'm sooo sorry, very sorry! I thought he/she was refering to me

She might be lying about getting a greencard, but she's not lying about her situation. From what I've seen, she has more than just the deportation hanging over her head. She has issues with the IRS too. I'm done with giving her advice,I don't want to be involved in this mess.

Yes, sorry about that. I just re-read my post and realized it could be interpreted as me accusing you of lying, which was definitely not my intent. I was saying that your Facebook friend might be lying about her situation, or at least lying about the possibility of getting a green card given her current situation.
