London is a very easy consulate to get through if you are an Anglo.

I'm wondering if the woman (who was nasty?) came from a high-fraud country where this kind of practice is very common? You said you were older--how much older?

I will ask the mods to move this to the UK forum as the OP will get better information there. London is unlike high-fraud consulates and folks giving advice based on their own consulate is not necessarily helpful.

I wonder if this is the reason... When my husband was at his K-1 interview, (back then he was my fiance, of course) he told them we met in the U.S., but he was also asked if I had been to Finland to visit him. (The answer was yes) They seem to want to know if both people have visited each others countries, maybe that is important to some embassies? Not sure, but I guess it could be possible.

I'm sorry about all this. :( I hope you find the exact reason your fiance was denied so you can work on fixing the problem.

Thanks you! Yes he has not been here, but when you file it never says you have to visit each other. Just says at least 2 times you've had to met within the time that you file. He had planned on coming last year but his mother passed away. A little over a month that's when we file the petition. His boss was coming to the states, so he had to keep the business going. We thought we would wait out. But seems it wasn't good. I know they have to question people, but seems the interviewer wasn't just getting it. One of the questions was why so long without seeing each other. First response was cause he loved me. Which I think it's a perfect answer why other reason do all of us that are going through this process hang on for so long.... Because we LOVE that person! She made it seem like it's a sin to fall in love with someone from a different country. You can't help whom you fall in love with. But anyways we love each other, and this isn't over for us. Another bump in the road, but we will keep going cause we LOVE each other. Have an attorney and spoken to her she is going to review the 221 they gave him and go from there. Thanks again for your well wishes :)

Same here. My fiancee has not been in the US ever. Now I am freaking out a bit. I am putting our Skype calls together into a word file...I want to send my honey all the proof we can provide

Yes make sure you get all you can. I wish I could had gone with him to the interview, and know exact word to word what was said. Maybe his answers weren't enough for her, from what he said to me I do feel he could probably had answer differently. What's done is done and we have to move on, and keep trying to finally get there.

That it was refused but could be overcome with submitting evidence in relationship

Then he simply needs more verification that there is a bona fide relationship. print out ALL your chat logs, emails, grab your letters, customs forms if gifts were mailed, off our facebook account that has all that evidence of you two as a couple (is your status Engaged?)

This is one of those times when you thought you had enough and you did not. Grab it all, keep proving to them you have all this information until they ask you to stop and they have seen enough to know it is real.

he can but i dont know if that will be enough. did he take extra evidence to the interview?? did they ask to see the evidence?? when did you last meet??

It's been over a year since we saw each other, And yes I know she did say why this long how is it that we've gone that long without seeing each other. But when you love somebody time really doesn't matter. But seems to them it does. He did planned on coming to the states last year, but his mother passed away. Few months after we started process, and we thought we would wait it out.

UK might not ask for proof of relationship but every case is unique. If it's out of the normal cases that the couple only see each other once every year through 3 years that could easily be the thing, adding that both of you not make enough money(so far that's what OP posted). As far as I know, they mostly concentrate on the affidavits at your embassy.

As far as ongoing relationship goes, skype call/chat logs, phone calls emails, any electronic correspondence you've had in between visiting. When visiting; hotel bills, ATM receipts(USC in your country). If it's possible, sworn statements from people around you having seen you together.

These are only suggestions, I'd wait up gathering it until you know exactly the reasons, as others have said. But keep it in the back of your head so you're ready to respond when needed. I'm sorry the interview didn't go well.

Thank you!

I didn't mean to worry anyone with what I mentioned earlier. I really don't think he was denied for never being in the U.S. I think they might like it that both people visit each other in both countries, but I don't think it is a requirement, especially for London. ML1, I can't believe they want you to go to England to be there at the interview with your fiance... Wow. I wonder if the financial issue was really one of the problems or not, doesn't London accept co-sponsors? Why did they not accept their co-sponsor? This seems really weird.

LND accepts co-sponsors as long as they meet the requirements of the affidavit of support (i134).
