income tax return delays submitting I-864EZ....

My husband is going to fill up form I-864EZ but he doesn't have his recent income tax return yet which he must submit together with the W2. He requested

fot it but said it takes 30 days before he get the copy since the year just started. I know this will delay the process. Will it be fine if he will just

send the I-864EZ with the W2? And me, as the beneficiary, can I make an appoinment online for my medical while we wait for the I-864EZ to be submitted?

or much better to wait till he submit the AOS form before making an appointment or wait till the NVC told me to do so...any advise is appreciated.

God bless all!

Are you saying you want to send tax returns for 2011? If so, I don't think this is necessary as US law does not require employers to supply employees with the W2 until February 2012. I sent tax transcripts from 2008, 2009, 2010, a letter of employment and my most recent paystub. I didn't have any problem.

Have him call the IRS and get his tax transcripts for 2008, 2009, 2010. It's free and it's fast. He will have them within the week. I believe the number is in the NVC guide here. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut If you haven't seen this, you should read it several times and have your husband read it. It will help so much.

to the op -

alas, there's time and timing, aye?

he's at the point to submit his AOS packet into NVC, but the tax year for 2011 just ended, with the tax reporting window starting in january, ending in april. Most employers will not get the W-2s to their employees until the end of January or first week in February. W-2 is useful for tax filing.

Currently, Tax Year 2010 stuff is sufficient when sending off the AOS packet into NVC, for NOW. Tax Reporting Window for Tax Year 2011 not start yet - it is not useful to wait until he has Tax Info for Tax Year 2011

Watch the calendar, aye? If the interview date is past 17 April 2012, The Embassy IV unit will MOST LIKELY ask for an updated I-864, to include Tax Year 2011 Stuff.
