Called USCIS today. I actually got a report on my I-212. They could have been just telling me the usual line but it still made me feel good. I had to talk to 2 different people but the last person said that she could see that my file was updated last week and they are working on it at the Seattle office. First time anyone has been able to tell me anthing about it. Two other times when I called they said they can't pull up info on I-212's. Anyways, it made my day!

I guess I'm the only one from Canada that filed a stand alone I-212. I sent a registered letter to USCIS in Seattle. They received it a week ago Monday. Haven't heard anything. Probobly a waste of time I'm thinking. Just thought I would let anyone know that may be going through the same thing.

In the letter I asked if there was anything they could tell me about my waiver. As there is no processing time for them.

Just tired of being "In Limbo". :(

Our attorney received a reply today from his inquiry last week to USCUS. Very, very happy!! Now I actually have a time frame!

Dear Mr. Smith,

Your inquiry was forwarded to me and I have asked the adjudicating officer to prioritize this application. The supervisor has also been advised that it is a priority. Our goal is to adjudicate this in 30 days. If we need more information, we will contact you.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Please continue to send your inquiries to Ms. Dougherty; as her deputy, I may be responding to your inquiries in future.

Regards,

Branch Chief

Thank you Beejay! I belong to that forum too and have found it VERY beneficial to my case!

I suppose it's a good thing that there aren't any other people in Canada in the same situation as me. Feel bad for anyone, from anywhere, that has to go through this.

Again, thanks.

Is there any Canadians that received an approved I-212 latey? If so does the Montreal consulate request my passport through my lawyer or directly through me now? I'm not asking about processing times because I've heard they are all over the board in Monteal. Any info would be greatful!
