Historically, pagans were the original owners, but, imo, all land belongs to God, since He said, in all of our holy texts, that He made it and He can take us from it. No, He's not a liar.

A people have a human right to defend themselves, so disenfranchised Palestinians maintain that right.

Then you would agree that a country has a right to defend itself also. A country that is recognized by the UN. A country that has the right to defend it self from terrorists.

How are they disenfranchised they do not recognize isreal, so why should israel give them rights. If I dont pay taxs or follow american laws, should I collect social security or be given the right to vote. If I attack a group of people with rocks or rockets, should they care about my well being? As I said why dont your brother countries take you in as the Jews did with Ethiopian Jews. Why arent there plans, boats or borders being opened for you. Its because they say they care, but in actuality they do not.

That sucks big time.

i like my neighborhood. the neighbors all around me have pretty nice houses. but if armed thugs came in and stole my house and the land it sits on, i wouldn't want to live in my neighbors' houses or on their land, i'd want mine back. and it should be given back to me. it's mine. regardless of how welcoming or not welcoming my neighbors would be at taking me in, other people's thuggish behaviors wouldn't make them responsible for sheltering me.

This reminds me of a joke I heard a long time ago about the Israeli Education Ministry ordering teachers to honour the legacy of the late Rahavam Ze'evi, an open advocate of the ethnic cleansing of Arabs from Palestine. A teacher told the her class how courageous Ze'evi had been in advocating the, ahem, "Transfer" of the Palestinian population. A child said, "that's wonderful, Miss, when can we do that to the Ethiopians." The teacher said "don't be so racist in my class!"

1. Israel was created by terrorists, so the folks fighting against it are fighting terrorism.

2. Israel may be recognized by the UN, but it doesn't recognize the UN's condemnations of its acts of oppression against the Palestinians.

How are they disenfranchised they do not recognize isreal, so why should israel give them rights. If I dont pay taxs or follow american laws, should I collect social security or be given the right to vote. If I attack a group of people with rocks or rockets, should they care about my well being? Why should the people who were there be told to move so that a bunch of Europeans can take over their land? Israel wants that to happen, but it doesn't like being accused of colonialism, which is what that is. If they think it's such a good idea, then they won't mind moving when the time comes for them to move again.

That sucks big time.

Bad acts suck.

Apparently the person who is disrupting these threads with the intention to distract from the story being discussed will be permitted to continue posting their hate propaganda, but if we point out their ignorance by answering with documented facts and sources, then the threads will be locked.

I think the person deserves nothing more in the way of response but LOL WUT PEARS from now on.

I haven't went through all five pages of this thread, but I haven't seen any hate propaganda on here. If your referring to the poster with the Israeli flag next to his/her name then come out and say it. It's not like we haven't had to suffer through god only knows how many of your Palestine threads on here. Fair is fair ...no need to make this thread one sided just because you don't agree with someone's views on here.

I got your story when I posted about the Bolshevik thing in regards to Jews. That did it for me when it comes to taking your post seriously.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I'm still scratching my head over why your other thread was locked

Me neither. I went through that thread and I didn't see anything wrong on there. Maybe I missed something?

This from the guy who feigned ignorance when it was pointed out that he was pushing material from that POS holocaust denier Mark Webber. My 3 year old has better credibility, and she thinks tigers can sing and dance.

Hang me for one bad reference/link and I didn't know the guy was a denier. It was a quick google. But what I posted was a well known fact with a lot of people. It's not like I got that link from Don Black and his bunch of storm front freaks.

[edit]Arab reaction

Over the years Arabs have argued that they have been displaced due to the increase in Jewish immigration to the area presently known as Israel. "In 1931, Lewis French conducted a survey of landlessness and eventually offered new plots to any Arabs who had been 'dispossessed'. British officials received more than 3,000 applications, of which 80 percent were ruled invalid by the Government's legal adviser because the applicants were not landless Arabs. This left only about 600 landless Arabs, 100 of whom accepted the Government land offer".[7] French's definition of a 'landless' Arab was often though as too uncertain for it did not include Arabs who sold their land willingly, people who owned land elsewhere and people who became tenants of land elsewhere. French's describes landlessness Arabs as: "Those who can be shown to have been displaced from the lands which they occupied in consequence of the lands falling into Jewish hands, and who have not obtained other holdings on which they can establish themselves or other equally satisfactory occupation".[12]

Also over the time period between World War I and World War II, both Jewish and Arab populations increased (470,000 Jewish; 588,000 not-Jewish). From 1922 and 1947, the non Jewish population increased dramatically in many cities over the region. In Haifa, Jerusalem and Jaffa the population increased by 290 per cent, 131 per cent and 158 per cent respectively.

Not all Arabs believe the Jewish land purchases were harmful to the Arab culture and people. According to the editor of the Egyptian newspaper, Al-Ahram, "[it]is absolutely necessary that an entente be made between the Zionists and Arabs, because the war of words can only do evil. The Zionists are necessary for the country: The money which they will bring, their knowledge and intelligence, and the industriousness which characterized them will contribute without doubt to the regeneration of the country".[7]

Shlomo Gravetz of the Jewish National Fund says: “Throughout the history of land reclamation by Jews in Eretz Yisrael, the Arabs have always claimed that the Jews were throwing them off their land. In 1932 the High Commissioner appointed the Bentwich Committee to investigate these claims, and out of 700 purchases of Arab property, the committee did not find one case in which the Jews had acted immorally.”

Back to TOPIC.

What year was it when the Arabs decided to not go along with the UN mandate and proceeded to invade Palestine/Israel?

That one sure backfired on the Arabs eh...
