Solemnization of marriage won't work, you need, NEED the marriage certificate when submitting the petition. Failure to do so will simply delay your case

Good luck

From what I read on other posts I googled, it seems other people submitted the petition with the solemnization of marriage with a note saying they will provide the Marriage Certificate in 5-10 weeks because Ontario takes an unusually long time to register, and that it went fine with no delays (basically you're in the queue while you wait for the certificate then you forward them the certificate when you get it, in time for the actual paperwork to be looked at). I'd rather try this than have to wait an additional 2 months? Thoughts? I have all the paperwork done and ready (100% completed), just need to mail it!

Send it in then. I wouldn't but if google says to then why not. The only thing it will do is delay your case.

Good luck

Thank you all for the help! I've honestly learned a lot from this forum, and decided to take the chance of submitting it early and forwarding the official certificate when I get it. I feel like the chance of sending in now instead of waiting another 2 months for the certificate will out weigh any delay it causes, hopefully I did the right thing.

I honestly couldn't have done it without all of your help and the tools the forum provided, totally saved me thousands of $$ from what a lawyer would have cost me, and at the same time I feel much more accomplished by submitting myself :) Thanks again! We'll see what happens from here!
