My interview is a day after yours.Kinda of worried as well.If the US embassy will be opened during that time,then i suppose we shld be fine

i will be mailing to know tomorrow.

Nov 9th 2010 Petition received at California Service Center

May 4th 2011 Received petition Approval letter

May 12th 2011 Received Letter from NVC stating info has been forwarded to Lagos consulate office

July 14th 2011 Received Fiancé Visa packet and interview date (via email)

Sept 20th 2011 Interview day! Visa not approved.. Requesting more proof :-(

Sept 28th 2011 Second interview scheduled for early December :-)

Dec 5th 2011 Interview rescheduled consulate office caught fire :-(

Dec 6th 2011 Visa APPROVED!!!! :-D

Though it begins by monday as speculated.dont know how long it wld be.

I wasnt on seat most of the day to mail the embassy.did send a mail,n hope to get a response by friday noon.

Hopefully,it wont be worse than i think

Had this question in mind when I signed in just now. Hopefully The 'leaders; will reach a compromise and save people heartaches and disappointments including lives from any violence that could result. My mom's medical and interview is coming up shortly and I do not want her on the road if it is unsafe. My friend at Kamorass Clinic states they may close if it is severe....dnt know about embassy( they shd not if it does not turn violent)

Lets just hope and wait...

USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK

Interview Date(Lagos): 2012-01- 23 Mom was late for interview
New Interview date: 2012-02-29 : VISA APPROVED

For the sake of everyone who has an interview scheduled, hoping a compromise is reached or better yet the government comes to their senses and restores the subsidy. All we can do is pray for things to change in the next few days.

I mailed the embassy this Morning .This is the response

Thank you for your email. You will be contacted if there is a change in your interview date..if there is a problem in a country,it does affect all embassies.

What i am kinda of worried about is presenting Scan Copies during my interview.My fiancee is to bring the documents with her on thursday but i fear the strike could hinder her landing by then.

Anyone submitted Photocopies or scanned documents during the interview.Pls share

sorry everyone if my question is out of place but have not received any packets from the lagos consulate and NVC forwarded my case about one month now..please how do i schedule my appointments or do just wait?
