Happy Belated New Year! Happy Chinese New Year! Happy Hump Day! Happy one year anniversary of the start of the Egyptian Revolution!

Today is dh's birthday. Also known as "not a big a deal day" according to him. So in honor of not-a-big-deal-day I'm making him koshary and a german chocolate cake.

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

Thanks Jeanne and Terrie! I passed your birthday wishes on to him and he is grateful. This morning my jacket has the smell from the cooking last night. It was making my mouth water during work that on my lunch break I had to come home and eat some more koshary! Mmm mmm Yum!

Happy Belated Birthday to your hubby! My grandfathers was on the 25th, Adams cousin on the 27th, my sister in law on the 28th and mine tomorrow! Plus tons more in the fam at the beginning/mid of January! I love January!!!

Thanks Tamara! I'll pass your message on to him as I'm sure he'll appreciated it. And happy birthday to your Grandpa, Adam's cousin, your SIL and yourself! I know it's a big one for you tomorrow! I hope you have something spectacular done to commemorate the event. For my big 3-0 I had my closest friends and family all meet at P.F. Chang's for dinner and wear their favorite shade of pink. We decorated the table with pink balloons and I had sent out printed invitations prior to the event with a request for RSVP. It was so nice.

You and I seem to have a lot in common with dates. I think I mentioned my new baby niece, Shiloh, was born on our 5th wedding anniversary and you had a similar story too. My older brother is also born on the 28th of Jan. Three people in my family have that birthday. Well, technically two now since my Grandpa passed away a couple of year ago. And Waleed shares the same birthday as your Grandpa! January is pretty fun! Though I have to say I can't think of any other 31st birthdays that I know of off hand, you'd be my first. Happy early Birthday!
