Today I checked the USCIS website and it says my NOA2 was approved on January 3rd. This has to be one of the happiest days in my life 110 days from NOA1. Vermont is really pushing out the applications now.

One thing I did not recieve a text or an email regarding the approval, is this normal??

It says they mailed out the approval notice. But I am confused why I did not recieve an email or text as I did with the NOA1?

Congrats! My NOA2 just came in as well (also from the Vermont Service Center). I only found out about it through my mother though, who lives at my permanent address back in the US. I confirmed it through the USCIS website after hearing from her. Like you, I did get an email for the NOA1, but not for the NOA2. Strange. . .

Congrats!

Sometimes USCIS is a bit delayed in sending that notification email/text

No cause for concern :star:

Wow! Vermont was really on the ball yesterday. I got my NOA2 as well. As it has been mentioned previously, they don't always send a text or an email. I received neither a text or an email for my NOA1.

CONGRATULATIONS! :D

This may be a really dumb question... but how do you know if your petition was forwarded to a certain service center after submittal? Do I need to call USCIS to find out, or is there another way? Congrats to those who received their NOA2!!!

NOA2's don't "get approved" - Petitions get approved. "NOA2" just means second notice (which could have been an RFE).

Congrats anyway!

It states what service center it was forwarded to on the NOA1 (797 form) you received, lower left. Also the case number tells you EAC is Vermont, WAC is California.

Update you the info in your profile after you check your 797,

Hank
