Hello,

In my AOS application, we have a joint sponsor who has provided us with all the material needed for the application. I have a question on some parts of the form. On question 24 on I-864, my sponsor listed his current individual income (his individual income is what we're using for the joint sponsorship) as his annual household income. On question 25, he listed the adjusted gross income as shown on Form 1040EZ in his income tax return. Now, the incomes he listed on question 25 are joint incomes between him and his wife because they file taxes together. So, my question is, will this be considered ok since we're only using his income and not his wife? Will USCIS look at the income on number 24 and number 25 of the form, notice that the numbers don't match and raise a red flag? In other words, on number 25 is it OK to list the Gross Adjusted Income (using both incomes) rather than just listing his previous three incomes or will they look at the larger number and ask for her to sign an I-864A? We're also including the joint sponsor's W2, which shows his individual income. Any thoughts?
