I got an email about EAD card production. It's actually the second update. The first time I didn't get an email, but it said the card was being produced on Dec 28th.

Today i got an email and text about it that says

On January 3, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For the status on AP, it still says "Initial review". But from reading the forum, people have said it's not accurate.

The EAD and AP is a combo card correct? So if my wife should be getting the EAD card, it should have the AP on it?

We are trying to leave the country on January 12th to go back to Taipei, but haven't gotten tickets because we want to make sure she gets AP.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I think it would be safer to wait until you have the card in hand before making any permanent travel plans. If you do decide to book tickets though, i would make sure that they are refundable or transferable.

Finally time for AOS.......

12/07/11 Sent AOS package

12/09/11 AOS package delivered

12/14/11 Received NOA for I-485 and I-765 (we're not applying for AP)

12/22/11 Received letter for Biometrics

01/04/12 Biometrics in Phoenix

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

02/03/12 Got an email saying card production had been ordered for my EAD...now just to wait for the card...

02/09/12 Received email saying EAD card has been sent

02/13/12 Received EAD card :D :D :D :D

03/06/12 Interview in Phoenix :).....Approved :D

03/14/12 Received Green card in mail.....

....no more USCIS until December 2013

No.

Some have gotten only an EAD card not the combo card. Not everyone gets a combo card yet.

Never book anything unless you have the AP or green card in your hand.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Just to upadte for future VJ members who do searches to look for their answer.

We got the EAD card on January 6th! It did say she had AP on there!

So it was a combo card. So even though the status for AP said "Initial Review" it didn't matter.

Thanks everyone!

They should get a combo card if jointly filed as mentioned here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=44028bcbf851e210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=68439c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Here is the Q&A with an example of the card: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=f5d28bcbf851e210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=6abe6d26d17df110VgnVCM1000004718190aRCRD
