We received our final notice from the NVC today by email.

Our case is closed at NVC

All further correspondence is to be made direct with our US Consulate in Montreal.

Interview scheduled for Feb 6th.

From reading this forum, my wife now needs to study up on all the personal trivia of my ex-wife. Ridiculous.

Thanks for those who have interviewed previously at Montreal and posted their experience specific to that Consulate.

Done: I-130/CR-1, I-751/ROC

Well, the upshot is -

She gets to look forward to taking the poutine tour whilst in Montreal.

It's mondo cool. Don't miss it - it's fabulous!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

You should read some more Montreal reviews because Montreal is pretty easy, especially compared to other consulates/embassies. If they ask about your ex-wife, it'll be most likely just simple questions like when you two divorced, what happened. Nothing too personal. For my interview, I was only asked two questions: where my husband lives and how did we meet. That was it.

Where did you stay in Montreal? I'm looking for a hotel within a half Km away to the consulate. There are several options but none offer airport shuttle. Do you know of any that do?

I didn't stay in a hotel in Montreal since I lived about 30 minutes north of Montreal :)

For $8 you can take the 747 STM bus from several locations downtown and/or the central bus station (Berri UQAM). It's a simple bus to take since it's pretty much dedicated to getting to and from the airport, and if you get yourself a week long STM pass (I think it's $20?), you can just use that and won't have to pay the extra $8.

You mean the metro? If so, you'd have to take a bus to the nearest metro station and then go from there.
