That's exactly what we did on the G-325A form. We checked "other" and wrote in "K1," but fiancee visa is just as good. I think I found that somewhere here on the forums when I was searching for my many questions! I think you'll be fine with what you put, we did the same thing. I try to stay positive too, although it's easier some days than others. My fiance and I are both big Doctor Who fans, so we'd love to borrow his Tardis so we could do time travel :) I do think they intentionally try to slow things down to do less work. Maybe they would be in better moods if they got raises ;)

Now that I think about it I might have put K1 Fiance Visa... I will have to double check that with my love cause I am totally lost now...

I think they try to slow things down to make sure there is fewer immigrants crossing the boarder, but that is just my guess... they are not to give you any info to help but they are to make sure they slow you down even by a few days... I don't know that's my feeling about it, I might be wrong of course ;)I hope I am!!!

Yes some days are worse, I had a breakdown a few days ago... glad he is coming over in a little over 3 weeks. My flatmates gf was with us for the past few days and it was really difficult for me to see tthem together (he is in ireland she is in Barcelona- but that is still better than me here and my fiance in USA)... wish we were at least in the same continent, I am sure we would be visiting every weekend... Actually what am I talking about, we would be together by now! oh...

I wouldn't worry about the "other" line too much. It was included with the I-129F and it's in the same file, so it should be fine. There's too much else to worry about in this process! I agree that they slow it down to try to stop immigration fraud, but from what I've read in the divorce section of the site, they aren't doing that great of a job with that ;) That's great that you see him in 3 weeks! It is a lot easier with Ireland/Barcelona. I think they're both in the EU, so they could move at any time. I also wish that my fiance and I lived on the same continent. Waiting until April is taking forever but I am trying to keep busy. Easier said than done! At least neither of our fiances are from high fraud consulates, that always slows things down.

haha yeah well good that I am not from a high fraud consulate :P but yeah I know what you mean...

Yes April seems like a bit away but we already have February around the corner plus it's a short month so I am hoping the time will just fly for you!

I am trying to keep busy with planning our visits and road trips once I move to the US. I can spend hours doing that :)plus spring is coming :)

P.S. around what time have you received your email from USCIS?

I got my e-mail from the USCIS at around 1:30 AM on 1/20. I think I've read about a few who get their e-mails early in the morning :) I really would expect your e-mail today or tomorrow. They're probably already processing it and are just behind with the notifications. Yes, road trips in the US can be very fun! We're thinking about flying to San Francisco for our honeymoon if we can afford it and then going to Savannah, GA and some places in Virginia later in the year or in 2013. I work full time, so that helps keep me busy, and of course I'm trying to wedding plan (I got a contract with all of my vendors stating that I can reschedule if the Visa is later than expected).

well we actually decided that he will be visiting me this February as agreed but I don't think I'll go there in April, my ticket just jumped from 800 to €1250!!! this is crazy! Those few months apart is nothing when you look into spending life time together!!! (I'm just trying to feel better when I say that out loud to myself )

P.S. my skype disconnected us after 73 hours only because my connection dropped... We are starting all over again :P

Wow that is very expencive. My tickets cost same but in dollars not in euro. I get tickets online from cheapoair.com. So far had no issues with the tickets.Your fiance can get you a ticket from here(USA) and pay in dollars. Same situation with us, when I was in Bulgaria I wanted to get my fiance a ticket and all prices were in euro, then i got back and purchase tickets from here and we went to Greece on vacation. So yu can try that it is cheaper.

Oh that sounds cool! We only do the civil one first and then next year something a little bigger for his family and friends :)but it kind of scares me... I was always sure I would never ever get married ;) I guess never say never!

Yes San Francisco is amazing! been there last July and fell in love with that place, although the weather wasn't too great.

Us is amazing for the road trips! have done the Big Sur last summer and now last X Mas we traveled to the Four Corners and then Taos=> Santa FE=> back to ABQ... the deserts and the mountains looked amazing! I don't think I appreciated the beauty of your country up till now :)

It should scare me, because it's a giant commitment, but it doesn't at all :) I know that he's the one and that we'll be amazingly happy together. I'm slightly nervous about having all eyes on me all day, but I'm having a small wedding so it should be fine. I haven't been to San Francisco, just L.A., but I'm sure I'll love it too. For a US Citizen, I haven't seen nearly enough of the US! I really need to take all of these road trips, and I know my fiance will love them. I still want to see a lot of Europe too, but that can wait. I'm so glad my fiance loves to travel as much as I do!

I was always convinced I would never get married too!

To be honest I was a little disappointed with LA, but hey everyone likes sth else ;) Yes I am happy too, my fiance is all up for the trips and leaves all the planning to me which I love to do dearly :)he just drives which suits me perfectly since I don't have a driving licence (yet!, unfortunately living in the US and not having one is a course! )

I was the same when it comes to wgetting married, but then I met the guy of my dreams and all those fears disappeared but yeah being in the center of attention for a day still isn;t my thing :P

maybe you should look at getting flights just to NYC.. THEN get a another carrier to take you to final place.. Southwest Airlines and Jetblue have great prices for domestic flights..

a flight from Austin, Texas to Caracas Venz was/is$1,500 plus..

i got round trip ticket to Miami Fl for $200

then Miami to caracas for $475

flights from europe to NYC are soooo cheap!!

well I tried that and yes I would save maybe around €300 but the amount of connections would just kill me... I usually have only 7 days of vaccation at a time and I don't want to waste 30h for flights, that's each way :(

I might try that. I checked and Jet Blue won't fly to my state, but southwest will! It seems like no matter what we do it'll be at least $800, and that's with booking a few months in advance. It is well worth it though!

I didn't like L.A. much either, honestly. I really prefer cities like New York where I can walk or take the subway everywhere, and not have to rely on cabs or buses. I love planning too! I plan way in advance and love finding unique things for us to do on our trips. Yes, a driver's license is a must for the U.S unfortunately. I'm not fond of driving, but I must do it. The connections for flights are a killer. It will probably end up being the most cost effective to just go the usual route, but it will still be $800-$1000.

exactly!oh well I will have plenty of time to do my driving licence while waiting for my GC :) It's the same here in Europe, I never needed one since you can get around easily by bus, tram or train :) or walk since I live in the city center...

connections are a killer! I am so glad it will be all over soon... hate jet lag too :(

I wish I could walk more, but at least for now, I'm not in a city. I hate jet leg too, much as I love travelling! Okay, right now my timeline shows this: "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between May 16, 2012 and June 2, 2012." That's a pretty long wait, but I know it will go quickly. And my fiance will be here during that time too!
