I just received an email stating ours was approved today. NOA1 was received on 9/3/11 by Texas and sent to VSC. Hopefully you will hear something soon.

Question for you. Did USCIS tell you that they are going to move your case to another location or did you find this out on your own? If on your own, then how? Please. Thanks.

Hi guys,

So I still haven't heard anything from the USCIS regarding my K1 fiancé visa.

My NOA1 was received August 9th, it is now January 3rd and I still haven't heard a word.

I hear I am able to contact after 5 months to check the processing of this application?

It was sent to the Texas Service Centre and forwarded to the California Service Centre after the NOA1

Please help... I'm going crazy!?!?!

:(:help:

Hey our timelines are about the same. Only exception: my petition is filed at the vermont office while yours is in california. I think both of us will receive approval notices within the next few weeks  I had my congressman call the vermont office Jan 3rd. They told me an officer was looking at my documents and should reach a decision in a few weeks.

Personally, I feel like the decision will come sooner than that since I had the congressman call. I think it DOES help getting your congressman involved. In face, mine told me if I didn't hear anything by the end of January, to call them and they would do another inquiry

Pray for me and I will pray for you. Stay strong, be patient, and the approval will come soon :D

Hi Everyone

Our petition was put in April in VSC.

It took 5 months to receive an RFE.

They received the required document Oct 18.

We have done the service request - twice

Infopass in Hartford

Congressional inquiry once but the second is waiting for the person to get back from vacation.

Not really sure what else to do.

255 days and counting - 8 1/2 months

We're are considering a expedite request due to USCIS error.

Good luck to you all and I understand your frustration level.

Congrats!!!

Vermont is for sure turning the out!!

We got NOA2 today, almost hit the 6th month. Our case also filed in Texas transferred to CSC so little wait...

Congrats!!

Texas is just the lockbox not a service center. They are all mailed to Texas and then forwarded to Vermont or California

CSC is taking longer now.... plus all the holidays from Nov, Dec, and Jan. Just wait 2-3 more weeks, and try to put in service request if you're not hearing anything from them by then... I sent in my application on June 22nd.. and got an RFE on Dec 12th. That's almost 6 months.. so be a little more patient.. Let's hope we get NOA2 soon..

I wouldnt go say that ALL congressman inquiries are the same.....contacting some local offices has resulted in some vjers getting an approval in less than 48 hrs....

Ro

Not in regards to California as they are stating they are working on middle of June petitions so even an inquiry from a Congressman will get this same response.

What worked for you with Vermont being your service center is different then for us with CSC

Englishmuffin,

I feel your pain and it is so hard. It took us 10 months to get approved and her interview is next week. Hang in there. If you have not heard anything is a good thing. Contact your congressman before you do anything else. Make an appointment to go and see them. Also our application sat in background checks for about 6 months before we got approved. They are taking longer now, but you are half way there. I heard those words so many times myself at 5 months. Keep each other encouraged. Stay strong. I will be praying for you.

Check the USCIS site with the reference number if not, there is a phone number on the site you can call. keep calling and have everything jotted down and ready to answer. Then let them know you are trying to find out the status. and let them know you have not heard anything. I think the most you will wait is 5 months which is how much I waited. It will be any day now.

me too , my noa1 is 08.04.2011 , i going to crazy. do i need to call ? how can i find my congressman? :help:

I've got the same NOA1 date as you - I think we just need to hang in there for another few weeks based on the cases that are getting approved now. It looks like CSC went back to work on the 3rd.
