Received this email today! Finally an update regarding my biometrics(my NOA date is 1/20). I called last week and had a service request placed and I'm glad that I got a response and that they will waive it......YAY!!!

The status of this service request is:

Recently you called to inform USCIS that you have not received a biometrics appointment letter. After checking our systems the biometrics taken on 02/25/2011 are still valid and you will not be scheduled again. We are sorry for any misunderstanding and thank you for informing USCIS of this matter.

I got an email today from the IO... I guess because I'm overseas they do it via email. She wanted to set up the interview date, I replied telling her that if possible I wanted to do it for the last week of March. Tomorrow I'm going to see if there is any available flights to US and then I will email her again with some possible dates for the interview.

I'm starting to think I should've went for a stateside interview as well. We're stationed in Germany and I'm trying to do the whole overseas naturalization thing and I have a feeling this will take forever... You filed only about a week before I did and I still haven't really heard anything other than the confirmation the paperwork was received *sigh*

So I gave in and finally called the military help line to check on my status :blush: My paperwork was received at Frankfurt Consulate on 28 February and I should be hearing from them within 30 days. The VERY nice person on the phone told me that our military mail addresses here are sometimes slow to receive mail (very true, unfortunately) and to maybe check back with the military help line to double-check the status and make sure I'm not missing an interview invitation because of it. I will also email the consulate again and make sure they still have my email address on file as well as our physical address in Germany so they can send an invitation there. I guess things ARE actually moving along... Wooot woot! :dance:

Well, no more complaining from my part, that's for sure.... this morning the Consulate emailed me the invitation for my interview: Next Thursday!!! And when I read the invitation, it mentioned guests, dress code and that it takes from 0830 until about 1300.... So I just emailed the lady again and - the oath will be done right after the test!!!!!!!

So I'm updating my info:

1. DO NOT DELETE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

2. Please make sure you are using Rich Text Editor as your message setting.

3. Click "Reply" on the most recent/updated posting version of this list.

4. Remove the "Quote Coding" at the top and bottom of the list.
