i'm assuming your NOA date is 1/23/12 USA82?

Seems like it's the date she received it. I'm guessing NOA date is earlier. I stand to be corrected though.

Unless USA82 overnighted the application, the 1/23/12 date is probably the NOA priority date. The earliest that the lockbox would have gotten the application is Jan 19. They'd probably didn't get through the application that day and generate an NOA for it to arrive the following Monday, Jan 23rd. But again, who knows...but because of her Check Cashed date being 1/26/12, the NOA priority date of 1/23/12 is probably correct.

So, I filed N400 in January 2012 as well. USCIS received it and I got my NOA. It was received on 1/17. I have not gotten any further paperwork regarding to next step. Any suggestions on that?

MY NOA is dated on 1/17/12.

Ok... This is random but thought I would share... I just ran across this from another forum

"Please read this ubsurd issue:

I applied N-400 88 days prior to 5 yrs; went through biometrics and finally had my interview on May 25th, 2011 (two days ago) and I was given the form N-652 with "you passed...". This morning I received a phone call from the USCIS officer (interviewer) saying that he will have to DENY my application, because the interview took place 7 days before my 5th year Green Card anniversary. I asked him if he can postpone approving my application to the 2nd of June, when my residence will complete 5 years; his answer was: "we must abide to the law" .

Is this true? Did this ever happen to anyone at all?!"

This looks a lot like my co-workers timeline. She applied for her citizenship through the military (army reserves) and she was a citizen within 1.5 months. I suspect this person is also military or has a military spouse and lives in the US, perhaps.

ETA: Hmm, maybe not. Military applications go through Nebraska. Maybe there was an expedite request? Or I guess they just got super lucky!
