Yay, they cashed our cheque too! Yes, even though I'm applying to be American I still spell cheque the Canadian way. Hopefully they won't hold it against me! :)

Ree, Fixed it! Buffalo was from my K-1 visa. I lived in Toronto and D lived in Rochester but since I hated winter we're now in Portland, Oregon.

Should I call them?

It might be that you don't have to do the bio since it has been less than a year. It happens to more people, maybe to you as well. I hope it is the same in my case, I filed about a month before you and haven't heard a thing since my NOA yet. Also doubting if I should call since the 30 day mark has been passed :(

Derpina, I haven't received mine either and I mailed my app 5 days before you.

JeroenAndMichelle, I would recommend calling. I called last year when my biometrics letter for ROC was also taking forever and it was really helpful. They were able to confirm the date of the appointment for me, so I'm definitely planning on calling again once the 30 day window is up. At least then they could confirm that the biometrics won't have to be retaken. Mine were done on March 15, 2011 so I suppose that is a definite possibility.

Thanks, I was thinking about calling today but that was before I read somehting in the December filers thread. If I do not have to do biometrics, then I only am a little bit behind on the rest and perhaps I should give it a bit longer just to make sure I gave them enough time :)

It might be that you don't have to do the bio since it has been less than a year. It happens to more people, maybe to you as well. I hope it is the same in my case, I filed about a month before you and haven't heard a thing since my NOA yet. Also doubting if I should call since the 30 day mark has been passed :(

I would call if it's been over 30 days to check and see. Just in case. You could be one of the lucky ones who don't have to re-do it.

I did my fingerprints today. All went well. I was there 45 mins before my appointment and they were just finishing with the one other person in the office and by the time I'd filled out my form they were done and ready for me. I have to say the lady who did my prints was the best I've had so far. Previously I've had techs who've yanked my fingers about while telling me to "relax my fingers". Well it's hard to do that when you're tugging on my fingers!

But all went smoothly. Now onto the next stage. I wonder who will be the first January filer to get an interview date?

Nah, I'll try and sit it true for a bit longer. After all, this wait shouldn't be as hard as the initial I129F petition ;)

02/06/12 - Received yellow letter (pre-interview case file review)

03/13/12 - Placed in line for interview scheduling (3 yr anniversary)

03/17/12 - Received interview letter

04/17/12 - Interview - No decision, application under further review

04/17/12 - Biometrics

04/25/12 - Placed in line for oath scheduling (so I'm approved yay!)

04/27/12 - Received oath ceremony date

I hope it is the same in my case, I filed about a month before you and haven't heard a thing since my NOA yet. Also doubting if I should call since the 30 day mark has been passed :(

Derpina, I haven't received mine either and I mailed my app 5 days before you.

JeroenAndMichelle, I would recommend calling. I called last year when my biometrics letter for ROC was also taking forever and it was really helpful. They were able to confirm the date of the appointment for me, so I'm definitely planning on calling again once the 30 day window is up. At least then they could confirm that the biometrics won't have to be retaken. Mine were done on March 15, 2011 so I suppose that is a definite possibility.

Thanks for replying guys! I also read in another thread that biometrics are valid for 15 months and some applicants get the interview letter without having received the bio appointment at all, so hopefully our case is that we don't have to re-take the bio.

Feb 3, 2012 NOA email and text message

Feb 7, 2012 NOA hard copy in mail

March 14, 2012 email stating in line for interview scheduling

March 15, 2012 email stating the interview was scheduled and we should be receiving the letter

3-17 interview letter in the mail--scheudled for 4-19-12

4-19 Wife passed interview! Oath to be scheduled

5-24 Oath ceremony! new US citizen
