Hello all!

My N-400 was delivered to the lockbox in Dallas, TX on Jan 22nd (Sunday! Weird)

Now we wait - again. Not as painful as the initial paperwork to get into the US though.

Welcome Aboard Cornishman! Glad to have you. When was your package sent?What is your local office?

N-400 package was sent last week sometime, they received it on Jan 22nd; so I'm at the beginning of this process. Package was sent to the Dallas lockbox but my local office will be Philadelphia. Philly has been pretty speedy, or at least it seems that way - maybe I'm patient, so hopefully that trend continues. This is not such a big rush as the initial spouse visa filing was when I just wanted to get over here so I could be with my wife. As long as it get's done sometime within the year I'll be happy. Looking at average times should be around 4-6 months.

Naturalization Process

1/22/2012 N-400 paperwork delivered at USCIS Dallas, TX

1/23/2012 N-400 received, NOA issued

1/30/2012 NOA received in mail

My bank account says check cashed today(1/24). I got the email with the receipt no. yesterday evening. Checked the receipt no. on USCIS website gave me the NOA 1/23.

Hi, fellow January 2012 filers -

We just sent my husband's N-400 yesterday. We were in no rush (he was eligible to send it since last July) but he could really use an American passport for work since Bulgaria and Romania have different entry requirements than the rest of the EU for many countries. So we are (or technically, he is) back in the USCIS games! Hopefully for the last time ever. Good luck to us all!

Interview - APPROVED 175 days from NOA-1 date

October 5 - I-751 sent APPROVED 111 days from NOA-1 date, no interview.
NATURALIZATION - 2012
APPROVED 79 days.
May 9 - Oath ceremony - in Oakland, CA.

Jan 22 - APPROVED 65 days from NOA-1. Never transferred to field office.

Feb 4 - received @ NVC
Feb 26 - Got NVC Case # and Invoice ID #

March 19 - Sent e-mail Choice of Agent, without scan of DS-3032. Paid AOS fee ($88).
April 1 - Choice of Agent information accepted (10th "working day" to accept).
April 3 - IV invoice appeared. Paid IV fee ($230).
April 11 - Sent IV package and AOS package TOGETHER. Confirmed delivery April 15.

April 26 - Case Complete (10th working day)

May 14 - Interview date assigned (12th working day)

June 5 - Interview in Sofia - VISA GRANTED!!!

June 16 - POE @ SFO. No problems. He's a citizen now!

Oct 4 - US Passport received. (SS card received some time in the summer; had to go to SSA office to obtain)
