How to track Receipts

How are some of you guys tracking your AOS receipts without actually getting NOA1 yet? I see a few timelines that are showing when their status was updated online, but you didn't actually get NOA1 until a few days later, or so...

1, by having included the optional sheet that includes contact information for USCIS to send confirmations right away.

2, by checking that your money has been withdrawn from your bank account

3, by having tracking on the package to see when it arrives.

Right, that's not really what I meant. I must not be saying it correctly. I mean they are going to www.uscis.gov and tracking their case status online before NOA1. But I'm guessing it's because the receipt numbers are on the checks.

If they filled out the optional form when mailing their packages to receive text or email notifications then they will receive a text or email before they get their paper NOA.

If when you sent in your AOS package, you included the form G-1145 (E-notification of Application/Petition Acceptance) you should receive an email when the USCIS has received your case. The case number will start with MSCxxxxxxxx

You can then go online and track your case even before the NOA. I have noticed you did the K1 process at the same time as me (I just joined the forum a little late to say the least!). So you already know how unreliable USCIS can be at sending emails/updating the website. I have had my EAD/AP combo card since December 9th and its still showing online that my AP case hasn't been touched since October 7th! Need I say more!
