where are you doing ur medical? we get the report the same day in lilavati,mumbai and i have heard on the second day in Apollo, Chennai...not sure abt the others...

When i checked with the lilavati hospital, they told me that the reports will be given same day after 3 pm, if everything is normal and no further tests are required.

Hi Divya,

We do not have to pay any fees if all have been paid earlier. We only need to pay Rs387 VFS courier fees. ALso, my attorney told me that, all the original docs will be returned to us at the consulate on the interview date. For submmiting the docs at VFS, Copies should do if you have them, else you can always show them the letter from NVC which confirms all the docs received by them and if they have asked for some specific docs to be carried , you can take only that.

I believe this should be ok. As long as you get the results to take to the interview.

We're confused on what to submit to VFS. Is it just the documents listed at the end of the appt letter? We have submitted everything (originals and forms) to NVC and our appt letter only states only the payment is left to submit. Is that all we need to take to VFS (along with the appt letter)?

I am really confused too as to what we have to submit at VFS. My husband was saying he read on a website that we have to submit all our proofs again at VFS. Is that true? We submitted all our original documents plus pictures and proofs with our I-130 and was just going to take our albums and additional proof to the Interview. So we need to take photocopies of all the documents we submitted earlier and submit it again at VFS with relationship proofs? Is this correct? And also the medical we can submit at VFS, right?

Hope someone can help us figure this out!

you need to submit the photocopies of everything u submitted at NVC..photos not required..you can carry that to the interview..and submitting the medical report at VFS is optional...either submit there or carry it with you to the intervieww.

It seems the closed date is around Dec 15th for Feb interview date. Most likely you will get March date as there are many CR1 people(554 people) who got interviews in Feb.
