Oh thought this posting was gonna be about the originals for the Game HomeFront and the upcoming Red Dawn Movie.... darn it.

Those two subjects actually had the Chinese as the US mainland invaders, but due to fear and backlash from the Chinese consumers and viewers, they had to go back and change all signs, language, and etc from China to North Korea. Now Homefront is banned in South Korea.

I was upset that Battlefield 3 came out with just boring Russians again. I still enjoy playing the Chinese in Battlefield 2 on Wake Island and the Alaska map. As well as being an American tourist err I mean conquerer taking Chinese locations in North China.

It will be coming out, It wont be shown in the original format. They had to go back to the already completed movie and use CGI to replace all the Chinese characters/symbols to North Korean and dub the Chinese language to Korean.

I think they should have left Red Dawn as it originally was made with Chinese invading and show that one in the US and the international release would be the masked version from the enemy being changed from Chinese to North Korean.

From a technical standpoint it is a lot more realistic having the Chinese as the invaders, there is no way the North Koreans would have the army, budget, and manpower to touch the US mainland.

There's also no way the North Koreans could bankroll Hollywood.

But, looking back at the original, the Cubans jumped on the Soviets to hitch a ride to the US. It's likely the North Koreans would do the same (only with the Chinese) in WWIII.
