biometrics I-485 and I-765

I filed my I-485 and I-765 together, received date is Oct-20. On December 13 I had a biometrics appointment for my I-765. Last week I received my work authorization card.

However today I received an appointment notice for I-485 biometrics appointment on January 24.

I never even thought of the fact that on the Appointment Notice for biometrics it said I-765. I assumed that once they have taken my biometrics that's it, they would be used for all my paperwork.

Is it normal that I have to do 2 biometrics appointments? ANy advice?

yes there are 2 and they are different. usually you can do both on the same day. now you will have to go for the i485. your EAD came fast.

ok thanks, then I just had bad luck with the biometrics that they weren't scheduled the same day.

I guess I'll do a walk-in without an appointment this week and hopefully they'll be willing to do the biometrics. Otherwise it's another 4 weeks before I can get biometrics out of the way
