HEY,

I am US citizen who applied for my Fiance Visa (K1) from Atlanta (vermont center) in summer of 2010, it Sring of 2011 she did her medical, police report and all that. June 16 2011 she had her interview at US Embassy in London,UK. We had a realationship for 10 years and showed all the proof, its a long story, we both are from Pakistan and Muslim. Our familes didn't agree for years but we both waited and waited. I came to London like 8-10 times in 10 years. Now my question is that after she had her interview on June 16,2011., we have been put on "Administrative Process", I have emailed the embassy and called them as well, but get the same answer., Its under Administratvie Process, I have called the Dept.of Visa in USA and I get the same answer. Last month I involved my local Senator, and he emailed them once in Dec.2011 and pretty much he got the same answer. What should we do? Do you think we should get married and apply again? I did have a pretty good lawyer, she really can't do anything as well, I had a metting with her last month, she told me "no one can touch embassies", they are by themselves. She also mentioned that if we change our status to Married there is no Gurantee that we may not get Adminstrative Process again. I just want some ideas, if someone had a same situation or knows someone had a same situation. I hope you all best of luck, I have been praying hard! Its really hard for both of us now, we have stopped our lives. It totally sux! Please help.

I wouldnt change your case now. It doesnt last forever. We've also been going thru ap for almost 7 months. If you change now all it would do is delay you for another year or longer. Just let the embassy finish thier work and you should see your visa within a few more months. The congressman we have told me they dont do name checks etc unless they plan to issue the visa if they were going to deny they would have done it at that time or right after the interview... denial could also come from negative background checks it happens but as long as you have clean records it should be finished soon ...There is no guarantee you wouldnt end up in a longer AP for CR1. Just sit tight and one day you will see the visa

HEY,

Do you think we should get married and apply again?

No you should wait it out. It has nothing to do with your relationship/evidence and everything to do with the words Pakistan and Muslim.

Seven months is way longer than normal. Here's a post where I replied to another UK member explaining it more. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/338074-fiance-went-for-interview-today-case-under-review/page__view__findpost__p__5002917

I have heard that AP can last even longer, what if it last like 2 years? God Forbid! Thats why I am little scared. But you are right about waiting it out now, since we have waited 7 months now.

that can happen but if you look at the statistics its rare or its a common name like Muhammad that is causing the delay or its a family based visa that is waiting on a priority date to be current. the average time is between 5-8 months sometimes a little longer... dont read horror stories about AP you have to remb there are always things behind those long AP's that we may not ever know or is not shared with us.

we were told we were in normal processing so we are hoping to hear something within the next month or two. Hang in there!

Happy New Year as we start another calendar year of waiting! I think it's unfair that the innocent ones get to suffer b/c of what others did or are doing. We have been in AP it'll be NINE months this January 18 and I think it's b/c we are from a "high fraud" country. Hang in there, I hope it ends soon for ALL of us! Good Luck!!

A "mistake" is forgetting to put gas in the car or not returning a library book on time. A mistake is not crashing planes into buildings occupied with men, women and children...

It is sad that people from certain countries have to pay for the misdeeds of a select few, but what those people did was not a mistake. It was a purposeful intent to kill as many innocent people as possible to further their own agenda.

I hope your AP ends soon and you will be reunited with your loved one.

HEY AZ110965, You are right about the wrong word I used. No religion teaches to kill anyone. WRONG IS WRONG! I totally agree with you.
