my case was completed on Dec 7th and an agent( he was patient enough to let me finish my statement of inquiry) told me the date on 12th...mind you, the day before I was told by another agent to check back in few weeks. Once the agetn told me the date, I got an email couple of hours later about the update and the AVR message was then changed.

keep checking in, specify you just want to know if a date has been scheduled for the interview....should not take more than two weeks after CC unless there is a backlog at th embassy

Sending the DS-230 packet tomorrow. Does the NVC normally contact you when they receive the AOS packet? Or do they wait to contact you until they have something to say.

I got my case number and invoice ID number today.

I will email the choice of agent tonight.

And I'm having a lot of stress about the UK PCC. I have to pay by bank draft, but that's not really available in Japan normally so it's a huge hassle just to get the money. Delays delays delays.

I'm starting to think ill be able to send the DS-230 before I'll have it in hand and I should just do that...

I know how you feel... I had an incredibly hard time just being able to apply for my Turkish PCC. Now god only knows when/if it will come, or if I'll have to fight for it again or try a different route to get it. Turkish bureaucracy is not particularly reliable, I know that from past experience. I wish it was as simple as the DOS states it on their webpage!

Just called again, same old story - 'we schedule the second week of the month, call back mid next week'.

No kidding. I can't believe there is conflicting info on the state department's website and the operators at NVC will say the complete opposite of each other from one call to the next!

I've will miss half a day of work tomorrow to go deal with the bank draft I need to pay for the UK police certificate. And it costs about $60 too, which nearly doubles the price of the expidited PCC (which is double the regular price!)

Time to submit the choice of agent email and organize some paperwork.

I have a sudden question coming to my mind: does the photocopy requirement at NVC include the forms?? Should my husband send the AOS form plus a copy of it?
