ok let me tell you, so she ( joint sponsor ) can give only the 2010? so can my wife?

Yes, just 2010 is fine, for both the joint sponsor and the petitioner.

Again, for both of them, it's:

EITHER

-most recent tax year (2010)

OR

-last three years (2008, 2009, 2010)

Maybe she knows that she needs to give you the most recent year (2010 at the moment), and wants to give you 2011 just in case the interviewing officer considers 2011 the most recent tax year. She's right that she doesn't HAVE to submit 2009 and 2008.

Yes, definitely make sure both your wife and the joint sponsor has their 2011 tax returns filed before the interview and have the tax transcripts on hand for the interview.

hey all, I have a lawyer and it's been four days since I received a case number and they have not yet invoiced my AOS fee. I get sign in fail whenever I try to log in. Now I'm worried because apparently my lawyer is my agent of choice and I do not need to submit a ds 3032...what is the quickest way of action for me? do i just submit my ds 3032 or just wait till they invoice????

Since you have a lawyer, they're automatically appointed as agent. So you do NOT send a DS-3032 (unless you want to remove your lawyer from the case).

If you're getting a SIF, then that's a very good indication that your fees are in the process of being invoiced. When you're finally able to log back in, the fees should be available.

Right now, all you can do is wait until you're able to log into the payment portal. You're well within the correct timeframe. Just wait a bit longer. While you're waiting, make sure all packages are ready to go. If they haven't been reviewed at least 5 times and inside their respective envelopes, then you have plenty to do while waiting.

Grats! kicking.gifkicking.gif

Call back and get your Invoice Identification Number (called IIN here on VJ). This is needed to sign onto the payment portal and pay the AOS and IV fees.

While you're also on the phone with an operator, give over both the petitioner and beneficiary's email addresses. This is so NVC can communicate through email instead of snail mailing which can take weeks or months.

Then, send NVC a DS-3032 by following the email template linked in the first post in this thread.
