Grats! kicking.gif

Yes, call back and ask for the Invoice Identification Number. If the operator says they're not allowed to give that number, thank them, hang up, and call again. This has happened sometimes with operators headbonk.gif

Then, as Laure recommended, email the DS-3032. Follow the email template in the first post of this thread.

And sorry for not replying sooner, fiddling with US taxes...

If you're referring to my pink hair in my profile pic, I'm sorry to disappoint, but the pink only lasted about 2 weeks crying.gifcrying.gifcrying.gif I'm now back to my natural brown (with red extensions though laughing.gif) Thinking of dying my hair back to pink again. I loved it while it lasted :D Alright... Off-Topic2.gifrofl.gif

Good thing I speak French too ;)

Moi aussi! Donc, il y a trois personnes dans ce 'club des futurs immigrants francophones'? laughing.gif

Saylinnnn and/or Laure LOL...I just called and got my IIN...what do I do now?????

Moi aussi :) mais c'est pas moi qui va immigrer...mais bon. Just posted about this in the Canada forum: Max wants us to eventually go back to Canada so our kids will speak proper French Québecois. :)

You can now use the IIN to sign into the payment portal. I doubt the AOS fee has been invoiced yet, but you can always check ;)

And as was suggested, you can email the DS-3032 now.

Just to make sure, you gave both email addresses to an operator, correct?

haha thanks! My wife (beneficiary) has to email it? No signatures required?

The email has to originate from the beneficiary's email account. Technically, if you want, you can log into her email account and send it yourself. Many petitioners have done this.

And no, no signatures are required. Please read the template linked in the first post. It'll give you instructions on what you have to do.

rofl.giflaughing.gifrofl.gif I would hate to be your kids. Learning another language (such as Quebecois) would be really hard unless they grow up around it (studies/research confirm this) at a young age. And even then, doesn't guarantee they'll be fluent. I was born in Quebec and lived there all my life (except for two years in Florida), yet despite that, I'm not fluent at all :(

I know, I'm a bit worried for him...his whole family only speaks French, so if they want to be able to speak to their grandparents and uncles, they'll have to learn. Will have to get those kids watching some French cartoons!

Oh boy, if his family only speaks French, then yeah, it'd be good to have the kids learn the language. Cartoons are a good idea. Books too. Good luck!

They're going to pick up some French, well I mean Québecois, from their daddy, but from my experience having a lot of friends with parents from different countries, they'll be able to talk, but not to write it properly. Writing French requires at least a decade of intensive schooling involving a whip, actually un martinet. French spelling and grammar don't make any sense, you just have to hit until it gets in :bonk:

I'd love to find a good book or studies about children growing in a bilingual environment. How do you deal with the 2 languages at home to help them learn both?

Red highlights rock!

Yeah bright dyes like pink, dark red, blue... never last more than a couple weeks. The thing is you'd need to bleech your hair to a very light blond before dying it with the bright color.

My answers in bold:

1- Will we need to have her doctor sent a letter to the embassy explaining that she will not be able to attend the interview?

Unless she is specifically required to be there, this will not be necessary

2- Are there chances that the Embassy ask us for DNA test?

Unlikely

3- or could the embassy reschedule the interview after she give birth to the baby, so that she can attend the interview?

See my answer to #1.

Grats again! Hopefully you get your interview date scheduled soon! :) Just keep calling every day to find out. You should also start calling DOS now every day as that's another source that will know of your interview date once scheduled.

Thanks Saylin... But what is DOS? I'm sorry there's an ignorant here hehe...

If they are exposed to both languages in the home they will pick it up. It used to be thought that it delayed speech but it doesn't as all children start to speak at different ages. My nephew didn't speak English until he went to kindergarten, he was brought up in an entirely hispanic environment in New York.

Usually you hear stories of parents speaking their own language so that the kids don't understand, someone told me the other day that they live din Quebec for a while and her children realised that she didn't speak French so they would use it to communicate because Mum wouldn't know what they were up to.
