Thank you Gad. Guys, as i see things going on, my wife will not be able to attend the interview because of the pregnancy. She will be 5 months in march and i am not expecting to get an interview in march.

1- Will we need to have her doctor sent a letter to the embassy explaining that she will not be able to attend the interview?

2- Are there chances that the Embassy ask us for DNA test?

3- will the embassy reschedule the interview after she give birth to the baby, so that she can attend the interview?

You should probably get in a touch with the embassy an explain the situation. But why would they make a dna test? Baby is not born yet, they can't :)

If you want to feel safe, gather proof that your wife was here with you when the child was conceived.

At most consulates/embassies, it's not NEEDED for the petitioner to be there. My husband didn't come to mine, and I was never asked one single question about his absence.

If the petitioner is not required to be there, then no letter is needed. But if it is required in Haiti, then yes, a doctor's letter would be good. If they don't accept that, then yes, they'll most likely reschedule you for when she would be available to come.

I've heard of DNA tests being asked for, but only in cases with red flags. Many, many people are pregnant during this process (or have kids already), and no DNA tests are required.

Both of your questions would be better suited being asked in the Caribbean sub-forum as those questions are country/region specific. Here's the region forum: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-latin-%26-south-america-mexico-the-caribbean/

- you call back and ask for IIN: just don't say IIN but invoice identification number.

- the foreign spouse can email the DS3032, following the template and directions found in the 1st post of this thread.

I know you asked Saylin, but well, I do have some red highlights in my hair too!

No, Saylin is the NVC fairy, she's the one you should ask things to, I'm just here to dilute my loneliness while waiting for the end of the process...

I know everyone tends to call me "Laurie" around here, but my name's just Laure, no i. Pretty much impossible to pronounce for an English speaker :P

Grats! kicking.gif

Yes, call back and ask for the Invoice Identification Number. If the operator says they're not allowed to give that number, thank them, hang up, and call again. This has happened sometimes with operators headbonk.gif

Then, as Laure recommended, email the DS-3032. Follow the email template in the first post of this thread.

And sorry for not replying sooner, fiddling with US taxes...

- you call back and ask for IIN: just don't say IIN but invoice identification number.

- the foreign spouse can email the DS3032, following the template and directions found in the 1st post of this thread.

I know you asked Saylin, but well, I do have some red highlights in my hair too!

If you're referring to my pink hair in my profile pic, I'm sorry to disappoint, but the pink only lasted about 2 weeks crying.gifcrying.gifcrying.gif I'm now back to my natural brown (with red extensions though laughing.gif) Thinking of dying my hair back to pink again. I loved it while it lasted :D Alright... Off-Topic2.gifrofl.gif
