Sometimes even you start thinking positive, this could not prevent you from being sick or going through a bad time as that baby in her belly is doing. That baby is too much, she got dehydrated lastly and was obliged to go to emegency room. I wish i could be there to tell him or her to give mommy a break..lol

It actually can. Tell her to pick up a book called "The Secret" or watch the movie of the same name ;)

And if she's getting dehydrated, make sure she's drinking a lot of water each day to prevent this.

Prayer will do the Bargain. She drinks water but sometimes she vomit it too. Right now, the spitting is the one that is making her losing so much wait. when im over the phone with her, on 5 mins she spit more than 20 times.. lol

lol. I have been talking to a cousin of mine and some other people living in the US, they told me it is not good for the beneficiary to be too much involved in calling and to let the petitionner call instead, do you agree with that? They say that they will find it too suspicious

I agree with that, but not for 'too suspicious'.

One should 'let' the USCitizen, the petitioner, drive all of this @NVC. It simply makes more sense - and during the process - the USCitizen Petitioner 'learns more' about NVC stuff, NVC processing, NVC Document intake; the steps at NVC, the DOCUMENTS required at NVC, and what's what.

There are exceptions, sure - like 'no time' or 'too busy' but IMO? It's on the USCitizen Spouse to handle all at NVC - especially since the NVC Online Payment Portal exists (and only takes US BANK payment transactions) and the DS-3032 gives the USCitizen Spouse the right to do stuff at NVC on behalf of the Foreign Spouse, at NVC.

whew !

hum ok...USCIS told us the package has been sent January 25th, i called yesterday, now when you think i could call? Could i today or tomorrow?>

I say 2 weeks from the 25th.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

TO start calling on 2 weeks?

Do people doing regular (not electronic) processing get an email with their case numbers too? If you/your wife don't want to call or are too busy, you can just wait for the email. I got my numbers over the phone around 2pm, and got an email with the same info about 5 hours later.

Yes, everyone (whether doing EP or not) gets the email. BUT, NVC has to have the emails on file to obviously email the case number. That's why it's suggested to call and when the case number is assigned, to give over emails, so NVC can email the petitioner and beneficiary. If NVC doesn't have any emails on file, then they'll snail mail correspondence, which can take a bit.

No, they won't send you an email about that, but it's not like it matters that much when the package arrives...you can't get started on anything without the case number. So if you're worried that your case has been lost in the mail, then you'll have to call to find out if your package has arrived or not.

No, they won't email you. But if you're calling an operator every day, they'll tell you when NVC receives your case (although dates might vary, as is seen with many members here).

Yup. Grab a calendar, do some day count/math.

NVC does not call anyone. Please study Ling Che, referenced in Post #1, for 'fast NVC processing', soonish.

He didn't expect a call; he thought there might be email notification for package arrival like there is for case numbers, and Saylin and I already told him no.

The way I found out -I e-mailed NVC to inquire about the case being received.I got the e-mail the same day the file was received.I also shoot them an e-mail with all the e-mails and contact info.As they actually instruct you to do on their web-site.

And I am the one who is handling NVC,the beneficiary, the operators are pleasant enough and some helpful .But I studied the process,so if I had no knoledge, probably they would ve not being so helpful.I know the steps myself from all the VJ members and this is exactly why it is easier.I like to know EXACTLY what I am doing and if I am doing it right.

Do not be afraid of calling,e-mailing and inquiring.Otherwise they might take their time all they want, why should they care if you don`t,right?

Rujby: the fact your wife wasn't hospitalized is good news BUT she MUST rest and take care of herself! At the hospital she would have been forced to do so, now she really, really should take some time off work to rest and get better.

Some women in there 1st trimester of pregnancy get really sick all the time and lose a lot of weight, it's an "alarm" system from their body that they should seriously listen to.
