Congratulations on the interview date!!!

You have requested the Turkish cert, correct? So,I would just keep on waiting..what else can you do? But at the same time,it says black on white-F,not needed...So you can have that pointed at the interview as well...

Not sure...Hopefully,two things are to happen-1.you will get it by March 27,and 2.They will NOT ASK for it...

That'd be fun considering I've been making myself sick out of anxiety since November because of that stupid PCC

What I was considering was basically going to Turkey. It shouldn't take more than a few days to have it done there. But I don't have money to waste on a plane ticket and a week in a hotel right now.

Got a NVC case closed yesterday. Interview date of march 19 for my wife. I'm finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

COngrats!!

Can you please take 2 minutes and edit your timeline in your profile?

At least fill out the

BENEFICIARIES COUNTRY and

Date 130 sent

Date of interview

This is the way people are able to answer members questions on how long this process takes.

And filing out the beneficiaries country allows your questions to flow to the country portal and puts the cute flag under your name

Thank you and good luck at the interview!

When you submitted the 2010 tax returns, did you include all W2s? And any other schedules, if applicable?

Im not sure if my husband submitted all W2s together with his 2010 tax returns. I was thinking it was redundant to submit W2s as well when you submit the tax returns. But he realized last night that perhaps he missed to include the 1040. Im not really familiar with all these documents. But anyway, he will mail all of them today to respond to the RFE.

I woke up this morning to find the interview letter in my email

It's March 27, a little later than I expected, I was hoping for an early March date, but hey, happy dance!! :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

I already called a panel physician and scheduled my medical for March 13. I gotta go to Paris and it's gonna cost me an extra 200 bucks in train tickets, but I'd rather have it done sooner than later.

OK now the puzzling question: with the interview letter, there's the list of documents that were/must be/don't need to be provided, and here's what it says:

CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS C

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1 Y

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 2 Y

2 - PASSPORT Y

3 - BIRTH CERTIFICATE O

4 - ADOPTION F

5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE O

6 - MARRIAGE TERMINATION F

7 - COURT RECORDS F

F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE Y

9 - MILITARY RECORDS F

10 - FRANCE POLICE CERTIFICATE O

10 - TURKEY POLICE CERTIFICATE F

FEE PAYMENT $

PHOTOGRAPH Y

F - PETITIONER MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE F

F - PETITIONER BIRTH CERTIFICATE F

F = not necessary for this application.

Sooo, they don't want me to provide my Turkish police certificate???

I lived in Turkey during 5 years, so it seems very strange to me... I'm still struggling to obtain it, but hopefully, it will be available before the end of March. However, I was just going to take costly measures to ensure I do get it (Turkish bureaucracy...), but now I don't know what to do anymore...

Wow I am so happy for you, May God keep blessing you!!!

Grats on the case complete! I'd really really really appreciate it if you filled in your timeline! I can then add your timeticks to my NVC processing times spreadsheet. It'd also help many other members!

Grats on the interview date!! And look at that, it's not the second week of the month :P

As for the PCC, I would suggest contacting three places: NVC, DOS, and the French consulate/embassy. Explain your situation and the letter above, and see what they have to say. Then report back :)

How exactly do you track the package sent from NVC to the embassy? I tried using the tips in the shortcuts, but it looks like I'm doing something wrong...

Did you call up an operator or the AVR to find out what date the package was sent out on?

Im not sure if my husband submitted all W2s together with his 2010 tax returns. I was thinking it was redundant to submit W2s as well when you submit the tax returns. But he realized last night that perhaps he missed to include the 1040. Im not really familiar with all these documents. But anyway, he will mail all of them today to respond to the RFE.

See, for the AOS package, you have TWO options on how to send in tax information.

Either:

-tax transcripts (preferred by NVC)

OR

-1040s, W2s, and any other schedules, if applicable

So if your husband submitted just the 1040s, but not the W2s, that would generate an RFE. If he submitted just the W2s, and not the 1040s, that would generate an RFE. He has to send both. Or even better, he should get tax transcripts and send those in.

Dont' worry about this. The reason they want that (or your case number, as it's suggested here on VJ) is in case if one of the pages gets misplaced. With this information on each page, the missing paper can quickly get matched back up to the case file.

Yes. Once they receive it and it's been processed, a case number will be assigned.

You do NOT send any documents until you pay fees, which occurs AFTER a case number has been assigned.

Right now, the ball is in NVC's court, and they're the ones that need to take action before you do.

Just keep calling NVC everyday and asking if a case number has been assigned. When it has, get the case number from the operator, as well as the Invoice Identification Number (needed to sign into the payment portal and pay bills), and tell the operator both your email addresses.
