OK I'm about to send the choice of agent by e-mail but I'm confused now.

In case there's an RFE, will the NVC send it by email? Or snail mail? I told them they should send all correspondance to our email addresses but I don't know if they act differently in case there's an RFE.

The thing is that my husband just went back to the US on Wednesday ( :( ), he is now staying at a friend's house until he finds a place for us. So he doesn't have a "stable" address in San Diego yet that I could confidently give the NVC in DS3032.

I could give his mom's address, that's where he receives his bank statements and stuff, but she's in the Bay Area, so it would slow things down if she was to receive snail mail. Plus I'd rather not have my in-laws receive confidential information on this immigration process.

His work address??

Or say I don't want an agent and I'll be dealing with the process myself? If they send everything by email, that would be fine, BUT I'm not gonna be the one paying the IV fee on the payment portal. Does it matter?

I don't really know what to do...

If you have already gave your email address and your husband's email address to the NVC when you learned your case number, then all correspondence will be done by email. This will include sending a "checklist" if need be. Checklist is the NVC term for RFE, I know this because I received one. While correspondence will be done by email, the paperwork itself must be sent by snail mail since electronic processing is not available for France. You can designate yourself as the agent if you wish, it will not matter that another individual (I would guess your husband) is paying the appropriate bills through the payment portal.

Thanks for your answer. I designated myself as the agent.

The fact that all correspondance is sent by email kind of makes a US based agent unnecessary, IMO.

I will have to send the IV package from France anyway, since I'm still (impatiently) waiting for a document.

Got the AOS invoice bill and already paid but its showing in process. When do i know its time to print the AOS cover sheet in order to mail it together with all the other AOS documents.

According to the famous "shortcuts", you have to wait until the fee shows as PAID on the portal.

In a few days, the AOS should appear as PAID on the payment portal. Once that happens, then you'll be able to print the AOS cover sheet and include it as the first page in the AOS package.

And if you've sent the DS-3032 already by email, then the paper version isn't needed.
