Grats on getting your case number so quickly! Only took 9 days! blink.gif I wonder if NVC has finally caught up on their backlog...

Yeah they're doing better than in December for sure! I wish mine had only taken a week too. I'd have a February interview for sure, had it happened!

My husband sent me pictures of the house he rented, he's just moving in, I can't wait to live there! It has a small yard with tropical plants :goofy:

CR1 Visa

USCIS STAGE: 16 days No expedite request but USC residing abroad
NVC STAGE: 19 days from case # to case complete
03/27/12: interview at Paris embassy - APPROVED
04/12/12: POE San Diego

05/14/14: received card production notification by e-mail, approval date 05/13

Naturalization

02/01/24: N-400 submitted online; Biometrics reuse notice received immediately online; "case being actively reviewed" after a couple hours

04/08/24: interview scheduled for 05/14. Received "We have taken an action in your case" email.

You can check the AVR and see if it has been updated (probably not, but you have nothing to loose). As for the taxes, they will not expect to see 2011 returns until after April 15th.

NVC will not contact you when they receive anything.

You can call, and you can start next week to make sure your paperwork is received. But you might have to wait for several weeks before they can give you your case number. Since you have an attorney,

Wow. Can you tell us how you did it?

Where were the steps?

Yeah, I understand paying the fees. But most instructions here said to send the DS-3032 first once you get the case number. .

My concern is if I send the DS-3032 too early, then it would confuse the NVC guys.

You may now send the DS-3032 now since you already have a NVC case number. That's what I did! It will save you a few more days than waiting for their email. A day after my AOS was invoiced, I got an email from NVC confirming the receipt of my choice of agent or DS-3032.

There's a sample email format at the beginning of this thread. Goodluck!

My wife got an email from NVC with 14 March interview date in Manila. The case closed 1/26. I was surprised coz i was expecting to wait until mid-feb to have date.

Wow, that is super fast , i hope i hear something soon too

Me too! The airline I use to get to Montreal is having a 50% off sale if I book by Feb. 3, so it'd be awesome to know our interview date next week so I can buy a cheap ticket!! :whistle:

IT LOOKS LIKE I HAVE BEEN APPROVED, my wife receive a letter from USCIS saying the case has been approved since janaury 25th and forwarded to NVC. I check the website every single hour and i see the same message appear" RFE RESPONSE under review " since january 19th. SHould we be happy?

Case # received,and as usually gets screwed even on this step...they assigned WRW case # which is Warsaw,I guess...should be MOS for Moscow...have to fix it somehow...

09/28/2011- Service Request Reply(extensive background check,allow 6 months...blah-blah..)

10/07/2011- RFE(4 pages)

12/05/2011- reply for RFE showed up in the system (took them 20 days to locate and input in the system...lucky us...)

01/11/2012- NOA2(urrrrraaaaa!!!!)

NVC

01/23/2012-case received(took 12 days...waiting for the case #)

01/27/2012-case # received(but wrong Embassy assigned...has to change)

02/01/2012-invoices are e-mailed to both of us by NVC

02/07/2012-invoices are paid(had to wait due to the wrong assignment of the embassy )

02/14/2012-both packgs are sent in

02/29/2012-checklist for a missing copy of passport(not missing in reality,but either wait 20 days for a review or send it in again,so we sent it in...)

Is there a difference between : last 3 years 1040 and W-2/1099 ?

I'm not very knowledgeable in affidavit of support documentation... What I know is tax return transcripts are preferred as proof of tax payment, your wife can order then by calling the IRS, or online http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=232168,00.html

A joint sponsor basically has the same requirements as the sponsor, and when filling in the form, they must add the intending immigrant to their household.

Ok does that mean the joint sponsor have to meet the requirements himself ( with his household size ) to be able to be eligible as my joint sponsor?
