I was still able to access the payment portal after I received a case complete. Once you have that CC, nothing else matters.

I'm not worried about the sign in fail. B-)

So the next step is to keep calling the reps at NVC and to add DOS to my list of people to call? I have this as the DOS number: (202) 663-1225 from this website. Do I just start calling both or is there a point at which I switch from calling NVC to calling DOS?

Yup, that's the number. It's also listed on the first post of the NVC threads. And start calling both immediately.

My day went like this: woke up and called AVR, before calling DOS I'd call the AVR again, called DOS at 2pm, called AVR before calling NVC, called NVC operator at 5pm, called AVR right before bed. And that was how my day went!

How are the operators at DOS hotline? Are they as bad as the NVC ones?

When an interview date is scheduled, who knows first? NVC or DOS?

Well, in my experience, it was a lot faster to get an operator, usually instant. And they were a hit and miss. They were more polite, but they seemed to lack the knowledge of the process like NVC operators. And they don't ask for emails and birthdays and names. All the want is your case number. I'd say from the moment I called to the moment the call ended, it was less than 5 minutes. Compared to NVC which takes like 10 minute minimum.

As for who knows first, I'm not sure. I've heard DOS, but I don't know how that works. Since I call DOS before NVC, I found out my interview from DOS. But I called NVC immediately afterwards and they had the same information. The reason I suggest calling both NVC and DOS (instead of just NVC), your chance of hearing of your interview date is increased. Plus, it's a nice change from calling just NVC for a month.

Haha!

The ONLY time they asked to confirm names was when I found out my interview. I thought it was strange they were asking for more info after I told them the case number and they looked in their computer. I instantly got excited as that had never happened before. Then a few minutes later I had my interview date! So, if you ever get asked for more info after taking your case number, get excited cause they may just have a date for you ;)

Calling USCIS won't help at all. You're no where near 5 months so the operator will just tell you to wait until 5 or 6 months have passed. All you can do at this point is sit and wait.

Ok i understand, the difference it makes is that we made a expedite request and Officer Mina called my wife and have her faxed jher medical information. That is why they went to analyze our case that quick and found out we needed a RFE. As now, we are supposed to be under the expedite request, what you think if we call?
