I just noticed we didn't go back far enough either on question 30. Do they always catch a mistake like that or could I get lucky and get cased closed?

Well from the look of things, they do catch it. They caught it on ours.. Re-do anither DS230 with the correct dates and have it ready to send out.

This is where they ask for all the places lived from the age of 16...

I was off by one year... headbonk.gif So this is a easy fix.. I just need to change that and re-send it.

They really are getting things done quickly!!

My AOS was accepted as well!! I'm hoping to see someone come and post CC today good.gif

Oh yeah! Well what I did was print a blank DS230, fill it up with a big blue pen, and review it several times to make sure I wasn't gonna make any mistakes when actually filling in the form on my computer (since you can't save it and correct it later, pain in the bottom...). I took me about 3 reviews of my draft to notice I was off by one year too! Wasn't able to calculate when I turned 16 :bonk:

I only became aware of it when triple checking the education part and noticing the dates didn't match...

I'm sure it's a pretty common mistake, and for the member who asked, yes I'm sure it's one of the things they check every time.

I agree, it's amazing how fast NVC is working right now. Maybe it's not the busiest time of the year for them?

I can't wait to see the first CC in this thread :)

Well I figured out what happened and why ours got sent wrong. Ive been using rapidvisa to get all these forms prepared. I called them. It seems the NVC only recently has changed it to wanting addresses since age 16 and work history going 10 years instead of 5. They have not updated their software yet either. The guy I spoke to said I might get a lenient reviewer about that. So now I'm gonna have to get the extra info from my wife, call them back so they can manually input it and I will have it ready to resend if NVC wants it. My wife won't be happy tonight when I tell her about this.

If I may suggest, drop rapidvisa and get your money back for they slowed you down by making this ridiculous mistake instead of helping you out!

I don't think the items you're talking about were changed very recently... but I may be wrong. Old guides already mention them as they are...

What are they gonna do about your wife's signature? How are they gonna change the data and have her sign the corrected form?

I'm sorry to say but NVC is not gonna be lenient about it. Answer to item 30 determines which police certificates you need to provide, so an accurate answer is crucial for them.

Oh rapidvisa gets there $$$ first thing. I'll have to get the info right then my wife can log into the account and print it and resend. They've been pretty helpful until now. I do feel dumb for not looking it over closely though. I swear it seems like nothing is ever easy for me.

It sucks, but well, I don't think it will really slow you down too much.

I think they're lying about the recent change though, the example form here on VJ is outdated (item # have changed), but it already asks the same questions for the same timespan...

I understand the feeling of persecution... on my wedding day the pen they gave me to sign didn't work, I felt so cursed

If you have Adobe Acrobat, it saves ;) I had the DS-230 and I-864 downloaded a few days after sending the I-130 and had it all filled up and ready to go for NVC laughing.gif

I only have the Reader, and it saved all I- and G- files without any problem, but it wouldn't save the information entered into DS230. I had to print as pdf but then I couldn't modify it. And I tried hard :D

Since my IV package is under review as of today, do you think I would get a checklist before the end of the day, should they generate one? The package is very thin and every document very easy to check. They just need to make a decision about my missing Turkish PCC.

I'm not gonna be able to go to bed until the business is over on the east coast, too excited

It could be possible. Depends on their workload for today and the reviewing officer your package lands with.
