Yup, Choice of Agent has been accepted for us, according to AVR. I can click the Pay link next to the IV bill as of today, but can't select the box to pay it. Husband confirmed that it's also greyed out on Windows/IE8.

Same thing has happened for everyone of us January filers as far as I could see. It seems to take 1 or 2 days before it gets active.

Hi everybody. I have a few questions about the NVC stage. My country is not eligible for electronic processing, my questions are:

.Can I have my hubby print out the DS-230 form sign it, scan it, e-mail it to me & I can send it to NVC? or does he have to mail me an original form with his signature?(takes time & $$)

. I sent USCIS 2 passport pics of my hubby, can I send the same to NVC or it has to be 2 different ones?

. My income used to be below the poverty line, now I have a new job & it is above the povery line, can I sponsor him alone or do I still need a co-sponsor?

Thank you

I can only answer your first question : DS230 must be an original with your husband's signature. Not a scanned copy.

Regarding passport pictures, the State Department website says that they must have been taken within the past 6 months.

If they are only a few months old, go ahead and use them.

I used the same pictures for the DS-230 as I did for the I-130 because the pictures were only 2 months old and I didn't want to make new ones.

1 - Nope. It has to be the original DS-230. You're also going to need the beneficiary's original/certified copies of his birth certificate as well, plus the original police certificate, and a certified copy/original of your marriage certificate. So, he'd have to mail you stuff anyways. No working around this.

2. The pictures sent to NVC have to be taken within 6 months. So, if that's the case, then you can re-use them.

3. If you're currently above the poverty line and have proof (employment letter, pay stubs, etc), then you should be fine. My husband was below the poverty line for 2007, 2008, and 2009, but mid-2010 got a much better job and was above poverty line when we were in NVC February 2011. But we sent in an employment letter, as well as 6 months worth of pay stubs. And we were approved without problems.

Just got off the phone with the suicidal operator (recognized her voice...), and our AOS package has been reviewed and accepted

The IV package is still under review.

Peeps who sent their packages recently, you should call! It looks like they're done with packages received early this week already!
