Not when the review is over, once it's started. They don't know if it's sitting in the mail room, but as soon as it gets to an officer's desk and begins to be reviewed, then the operator can see it on their computers.

Tss tssss that's not even what he said! He was positive they couldn't tell until review's over... Ain't that a basic question they should know the right answer to?

Operator Jim I give you a D, no wait, an F cause you didn't even say goodbye

When I'm a USC, I'd like to become a supervisor for the NVC call center

Yeah, operators aren't knowledgeable as they should be. That's why I always suggest calling multiple times if you have a question since their answers always vary.

And I'll join you at NVC ;) We can do some massive, positive reform there. It should be a requirement to be an immigrant to work there so you know how it feels laughing.gif

Grats on finally getting the letter you needed!

150 pages?! How do you have so many pages?

Well I'm relying on assets and I don't have access to my two banks in America for letters, so I had to send 12 months of statements. One bank averaged 3 pages per statement and the other was 4 pages each. That's about 85 pages right there. Then I have my tax transcripts (which aren't printed front/back like others I've seen) and my full tax returns for 3 years. That's another 35-40 pages.

Since I'm living in Japan, I also have to prove my domicile is in America or that I will re-establish it, so I had to send some letters and other documents. Probably 25 pages total.

Then there is the actual I-864 itself!

Bank letters and properly formatted tax transcripts would have really cut my packet down in size, but I can only go with what I've got.

I guess it adds up quickly. I feel sorry for the reviewing officer laughing.gif

find a pc running winders, use IE8 web browser. ya, i know - it's mondo suckage - but that's the bit that works. there are other permutations that work - but if'n you wish to pay, hey !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Doesn't really make sense that we were able to pay our AOS fee with whatever set-up we have now but not the IV bill....

Having husband check with Windows and IE now...

The IV bill is dependent upon acceptance of the Choice of Agent form (DS-3032/DS-261). The AOS on the other hand isn't dependent upon anything.

Yup, Choice of Agent has been accepted for us, according to AVR. I can click the Pay link next to the IV bill as of today, but can't select the box to pay it. Husband confirmed that it's also greyed out on Windows/IE8.

Yeah it happens a lot. A day or two later though it's clickable :)

Hi everybody. I have a few questions about the NVC stage. My country is not eligible for electronic processing, my questions are:

.Can I have my hubby print out the DS-230 form sign it, scan it, e-mail it to me & I can send it to NVC? or does he have to mail me an original form with his signature?(takes time & $$)

. I sent USCIS 2 passport pics of my hubby, can I send the same to NVC or it has to be 2 different ones?

. My income used to be below the poverty line, now I have a new job & it is above the povery line, can I sponsor him alone or do I still need a co-sponsor?

Thank you

Loin des yeux mais pas loin du coeur. <3

My IV package was delivered to NVC on Thursday, 1/19 around 11:30 a.m.

My AOS package will probably arrive on Monday or Tuesday next week.

I'm getting anxious about getting this all finished and on to the next step! I hope their processing continues with the same lightning speed it has since I was assigned my case number.
