Well, my IV package tracking estimated delivery date is next Wednesday so it would have to be really quick. Before the end of the month would be great! I'll just try to relax and be patient, and send good vibes to the Turkish consulate of course!!

I just emailed the AOS package early, after paying AOS fee but before it's showing up as paid. We'll see if it works out...

I thought you needed the AOS coversheet, which is only available for download after the fee is marked 'paid' at the portal.

Yes, you do need a coversheet, but a couple of us noticed that the payment portal is now allowing you to see your coversheet right after entering your bank info, before it's showing as paid. Someone above also said that the coversheet doesn't change between In Process and Paid, so I went ahead and attached it as the cover to my files. It had a barcode on it!

Hi Smile,

If you have the date it was sent (the AVR will tell you the date it was forwarded) you can track the package via DHL. If you look a few pages back in this thread you will see where Saylin was helping me to track my package. Best of luck!

Is it advisable to send the completed I-864 (AOS) package once payment has been made to NVC? Or would it be better to send it together with the IV package?

Just got an update from the Turkish consulate, after I sent them an email: they're still waiting for my Turkish PCC...

You can send it as soon as the payment is cleared and the fee status changed to PAID on the payment portal. You don't have to send both packages together! It would probably reduce the express shipping fee though, if you did.

Thanks for the tips! Il just send them together with my IV package to save on the mailing fees. Anyway, we're still waiting for my son's NVC case number.

I can only really say what happened with my case. It was sent to consulate after the interview was scheduled. It might differ for other consulates though, especially where there is a long waiting period for interviews. I'm not sure if the NVC or consulate stores the file until the interview... Saylin might know?

Yes, the case is only sent after the interview is scheduled, usually within a few days. My case was scheduled an interview on Friday and the next business day (Monday), my case was shipped.

Up to you. I would suggest that if one package is ready for submission, send it.

1. NVC will know when they shipped it out. Fudge that date 3 to 5 days for later, as it's really just the date it hit the mailroom to go OUT

2. DoS Hotline will know when the casefile was OPENED at the IV Unit in that country - which is AFTER the date the casefile was received by the IV Unit.

In general, though - once you get an appointment date from NVC, you really not need to worry about casefile movement.

That's fantastic! Smells like a back-end programming change. I'm a fan of those, when it shaves off days.
