same things...

Daily NVC call: daily "not entered in our system yet" answer.

What's funny is they were telling us the case was received on Dec 12, now they tell us to count 20 business days from Dec 16 before we start sending out flares. I'm seriously starting to hate them.

34 days since NOA2 and counting.

Case complete Dec 30th!! I guess the Automated Voice system hadn't been updated over New Years. Now the waiting game again for the interview date!

Anyone know if there is an Australian Interview date/consulate topic for people waiting for interviews?

Just did my daily call... Guess what? Nothing.

Was now told the case number will probably not be assigned this week. I grilled the operator a bit (nicely) and she admitted they had a backlog due to a high number of cases received at the end of the year. We're just in the queue. Blah.

Hubby's back in the States (well he's in the plane right now), I really thought we'd have the AOS paid and the package submitted by now when we received our NOA2 over a month ago...

I just spoke to an NVC operator, and she told me that since my file was received Dec. 27th, I should wait until January 24th to call back for a case number. I have been trying to be sane about the number of times I call NVC (automated system every 2 or 3 days, operator only twice since my NOA2 on Dec. 17), but waiting until the 24th to call back seems a bit long...should I listen to her, call in another week, or keep trying every couple days?

call every day...

I just don't want to 1. be pissed off every single day that I call and don't receive a number or 2. start getting irate operators who can see that I've called every day even after I was told to wait...

Call every single day no matter what the operators say. NVC has a number for a reason for petitioners/beneficiaries.

I called every single day after a week from my NOA2. The first time I called, the operator suggested I not call for another week. But I didn't listen at all. The next time I called, I had my case number :)

As for the AVR, you can call as many times as you want. As far as I know NVC doesn't have a record for that stuff. When I was at NVC, I called as soon as I woke up, right before I went to bed, and at least once during the day. I wanted to know asap if anything changed.

I don't think they can keep track of your calls before you have a case number. I could be wrong, but I've been calling everyday for more than 2 weeks now, and the operators never acted like they knew I ever called before.

Remember, you're telling them your USCIS receipt number, so technically, there's a way to track your calls, if they use that number. But even if they do track your calls, if you're just calling once or twice a day, you don't have to be worried.

Yes I might be wrong about that. But one operator told me she was unable to do anything, including adding any type of info to my case before it was entered into the system properly. I thought it implied no call tracking.

Anyway, that wouldn't stop me from making my daily call. Now that my husband's back in the States and I'm alone here, things start to feel a lot harder.

I HAVE A CASE NUMBER!!! :dancing::jest:

Communication through my IP phone with the condescendant operator was not easy, so I'll have my husband call back to check the case number and mostly the e-mail addresses, cause I had to spell them like 5 times each and I'm still not convinced he got them right.

But hey, good news! We're moving on! Woohoo!

I was on skype with Colin minutes before I made the call too bad I couldn't tell him the good news then!

Just because the operator can't input your information does NOT mean that the system is not tracking your phone calls.

And I remember I had to repeat my email address 5 times too to the operator as they kept messing up laughing.gif

Thanks, I'm happy to know we're on track. It could be fast now (provided I get the PC I'm waiting for from Turkey)!
