I'm not sure how long you have to respond to RFEs, but I do know that NVC closes the case if they don't hear from you within one year. I've seen people take quite a long time (few months) to respond to RFEs before, so don't worry about that.

You could always try sending the IV package without the PCC and mention in the cover letter that it's on its way and if you [the officer] can complete the case without the PCC, you'd bring it to the interview with you. Worth a shot. Worst that can happen is you get a RFE which you'll respond to as soon as you get the PCC.

Wow, I did not think about that, but it sounds like music to my ear!!

Do you think there's any chance they could be ok with that??

Cause if yes, then I could have both the AOS and the IV packages sent by the end of the week!!

In case they accepted to complete the case and things got really messed up with the PCC (who knows :crying: ), could I re-schedule the interview to a later date if I don't have the paper in hand early enough?

I think I'll try to call NVC tonight and ask how long they give for responding RFEs.

Just got NOA2. Hopefully, NVC processing will start this month. Talked to the operator yesterday and she said call back if it isn't ready in two weeks.

I applied for IRS transcripts- it was an automated system and it did not even ask for the delivery address. They will probably send it to the US address, which means we have to somehow get it forwarded from the US.

Do you know if there is some way to specify a foreign address to send the transcripts to?

Colin received his in France, because it was the address that was registered with IRS. My understanding is that they send it to your official address that they have on record. So if you filed from abroad and received mail from them in the Netherlands before, it should get to you. Otherwise, they'll send it to your last known address in the US.

There could be a chance that it works. But you have to make sure the officer will see your note. I'm not sure if they even read the cover letter. But despite that, I have seen a few cases where the PCC wasn't submitted at NVC, but brought to the interview instead.

And yes, you can always re-schedule the interview. But I'm sure you'll be fine as that won't be for a few months.

Thanks for your answer Saylin, you're always so helpful! It's like you're volunteering to help us here, it's really generous of you.

I'm getting excited now, I was so depressed today thinking that I could have everything done in a few days but that stupid pcc was getting me stuck! :goofy:

Hi everyone!

We finally have an interview date for February 13th!! YAY!!!

I have a question to any IR-1/CR-1 Filers who have already been interviewed at the Embassy in London. The e-mail states this:

Reminders

* Any original documents that were requested by the NVC but were not submitted to the

NVC must be brought to the visa interview.

* The applicant must bring his/her medical examination results to the visa interview in an

envelope sealed by the medical office.

* The applicant must bring the correct size and number of photographs to the visa

interview. They must measure 2 inches by 2 inches (5 cm by 5 cm) on a white

background.

* IF a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) AND provided the NVC with proof of

an IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax Return, the

applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the visa

interview.

* Failure to present all necessary documents to the Consular Officer will result in the

applicant's immigrant visa being refused at the initial interview.

Even though we sent the original documents to NVC, should I still take them with me to the interview? I have read in reviews that people have done so.

Also, my medical exam results are not in an envelope.

Thanks!

Grats on the interview date!

I'm confused by your first question. You say you sent the originals to NVC, so how could bring ORIGINALS to the interview? All you should have are copies. And I'd suggest bringing those, just in case.

And I thought for London the medical was sent directly to the embassy. You did get the medical done by Knightsbridge Doctors, correct?

Are you able to pay the IV bill? I still can't check the box on the payment portal. My D3032 was accepted too.

Just called NVC, it was my longest wait ever, and the operator was obviously about to kill herself, from the tone of her voice...

Anyway, she told me you have a year to submit docs, and it restarts every time you call them, even if they generate a checklist.

So I'm definitely gonna send the IV package with a note explaining that I don't have the Turkish PCC in hand yet and will bring it to interview, and cross my fingers for a "relaxed" reviewer!
