Hi ya,

My wife and my baby had thier interview two days ago and the CO requested for a dna test.however the CO gave us another interview date which is seven months away from now.i just wanted to find out is there any way that we can petition to bring the date back after the dna result.also how long does the dna process take?By the way happy new year to you all!

when it comes to dna thats what dey do. i was also given seven months interval and was told they where going to contact me after my mum was done with hers. took dem almost 3 months to do so. i even had to email them for them to email back my appointment date.I'm scheduled for ending of january. will let you know how it goes. happy new year and i wish all the best.

its very fustrating waiting for that long.thank you.

Yes that is frustrating.

I petitioned for my fiance and his daughter (on a K-1 Visa) he told me that it will prolong the waiting time because he has to do a DNA for her. And I am still waiting on our NOA-2. *sighs* Should we just send for his daughter later? But that will be hard too because I want her to be in our wedding.

What to do??? :unsure:

NOA1: 4/23/2013

Received RFE: 5/13/2013 (We forgot to include proof of citizenship of co-sponsor)

Mailed our response to the RFE: 5/15/2013 (We sent the co-sponsor's U.S. birth certificate)

Biometrics Appointment: 5/20/13

EAD: arrived 6/24/13

AOS: APPROVED! No interview! Approval (NOA-1 letter)Date: 9/24/2013

2 year conditional green card received 09/2013.

10 year permanent residency approved 2016.

<3 Baby girl born February 2015 <3

just look for an accredited lab and have them take your sample and then they will forward the rsult and testing kit to the embassy. your wife and kid will then go to the embassy designated hospital for their testing after which the embassy will receive the results. they called my friend's children at 4-8 weeks after the tests for the second interview.

09/15/2012: Got Married
09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).

01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK


N-400: (3 months and 12 days)

NVC Case COMPLETED: 2011-12-07 ( 43 days from NOA 2 and 65 days from NOA 1)
Interview Date(Lagos): 2012-01- 23
Mom was late for interview
New Interview date: 2012-02-29 : VISA APPROVED
