I love it when people get excited that Fox is "#1 in cable news," where they get a whopping 1.8 million average viewers. #1 in broadcast news (NBC)gets 8.6 million viewers which is 377% higher than Fox news. The combined audience for broadcast news (CBS, ABC and NBC) is 25m.

Oh snap.

As people have pointed out FOX does have the hottest ladies behind the mic, that alone is reason to appreciate FOX but the extra bonus is the way libs spit and sputter all over themselves with hate for FOX.....

priceless!

Imagine that - people who actually despise political propaganda disguised as news. You should read the children's story, The Pied Piper. There's a lot of wisdom for you there.

They didn't seem to have a problem with "political propaganda dressed up as news".... until it was no longer Left-leaning.

Then selective outrage surfaced.

MSNBC is the only other news station that even comes remotely close to Fox News' propaganda machine and at least MSNBC doesn't try to sell themselves as 'Fair and Balanced.' They also don't claim to be giving the news. Commentary and editorializing has it's place in news. Fox News goes beyond that and actually has a focused agenda on tainting news stories (non-editorial) that support Roger Ailles' political strategy - to help build a strong Republican base in this country to fight against the otherwise dominant majority of Democrats. If you don't believe me, I'll find you some quite damaging emails and documents that confirm the Roger Ailles agenda as director of Fox News.

Blame Clinton. Rush's career didn't take off until after they started singing that stupid Fleetwood Mac song.

HEy ya know Obamer might want to recycle that song for his theme in 1012.

The lines are perfect,

"Don't stop thinking about tomorrow, it'll soon be here."

"Yesterdays gone yesterdays gone."

and if he is smart he will even recycle Hillary up on stage.

I wouldn't say remotely, but at least you're on the right track.

Steve, put down the cup of Koll-aid my friend.

Are you really over looking the "fact" that the Media gave Obama the push and protection he needed to get elected?

Or that they covered up John Edward's affair.... when they thought he might be -The one?

This isn't tipping the balance in a story this is concerted efforts to suppress news for a direct political agenda.

I listen to NPR. You can notice a slight (and I mean slight) bias on some programs, but I love how they always bring both sides in on a topic without berading one or the other. It allows the listener to hear both sides of the issue and draw their own conclusions. You can clearly hear, from the phone calls that come in, that both liberal and conservative leaning listeners appreciate this station.

It has also helped me to understand that in reality (not the media world), liberals and conservatives have much more in common with each other as groups than we will EVER have with any politician. The problem is, we rely way too much on the opinions the media feeds us and we assume them to be fact. We also look to our leaders for guidance, without realizing that these leaders almost never have our best interest at heart.

If you want the least amount if bias possible, like me, listen to NPR or watch BBC (also great reporting on BBC). PBS News Hour is also excellent.

I have no respect for Fox News whatsoever. MSNBC isn't much better. I can stomach CNN sometimes, but would rather not follow a dog on the highway for 3 hours or watch some dumb kid in a balloon. If I wanted reality TV, I'd watch the Jersey Shore or the Housewives.

If I want news, I'll go to the BBC. If I want field-specific information, I'll use specialist sources.

Network and Cable News in the USA is all tainted with the political biases of the parent organisations. Little, if any, of the "news" broadcast in the USA is completely devoid of opinion. Most is thoroughly skewed by it, in one direction or the other.
