I think should be new pattern to call the Dos Hotline Human, 'Honey Chile Boo Boo' when next addressing them over the phone.

Something like this..

'Now Look Here, Honey Chile Boo Boo, I know you don't know anything about my casefile - you can only see what's in the computer in front of you. Although, Boo Boo Chile, I'm asking for casefile status on my spouse's casefile - you really should have some indication of which department, which entity was last contacted for status on the namecheck. Ya, I know, It's on page 2 of your screen please to go page 2, Boo Boo Chile, and take another look'.

Whew.

LOL if nothing else you would either get a hang up or a laugh depending on who answered!

for the self appointed experts....matters relating to visa issuances are protected by INA 222(f)....Boo Boo. The DoS folks generally cannot reveal specific information to the third party (spouses included) about a visa case. No doubt many of you believe that you are the exception to said law....but I doubt you will find your name in the section entitled: "The following really important people are exempt from this law:..."

yea...condescending comments to the Vo or embassy staff will really produce the results you want.

ah. none of that missive is condescending. If you take it as such, that's yer problem, not mine.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Noah, I see from your post history that you are quite active in the Tourist Visa forum. I can't tell what personal stake you have in being here as you don't have a timeline nor any affiliation to a particular process.

My spouse's visa and our very lives hang on the decisions of people we are not allowed to talk with. We can't live together; we can't even begin to plan our dreams. We have no idea what is happening or why or how long it might take. It's maddening, depressing, frustrating, and very scary. Just as we approached the end, we are told no, no, not yet for you! I come here to feel the empathy of those who are also experiencing this. I have never "badgered" a DOS rep nor have I ever been condescending with them. I was instructed to call them for status updates, and that's all I can do.

You have been very rude and brusque, and I don't understand why you would take time out of your life to harangue and condescend to people here.

When I post in response to a member here, I try to ask myself if I'm sharing a fact that will answer a question or an experience that might feel helpful to the OP. Ive never had any issue with another member until you stumbled into this forum.

Anyone home??? The DOS does NOT adjudicate AP nor any other specific security checks...those are farmed out to other agencies, whose willingness to share information is minimal...there is no point in badgering DoS folks...they are not in control of these situations. DHS/USCIS/FBI and other agencies do various security checks (and probably others that no on knows about)...and for those of you who firmly believe you could do a better job, well, why not attempt to take and pass the exams required to be a foreign service officer??? I doubt that one in a hundred of you could do it.

These call centers are mostly located in Mexico and Central America. I am sure they have no more information than we do.

Thanks but I want to know the time because the petitioner called at 8:30 am and it's just a machine talking. No human answers even after pressing those numbers.
