No they will do a background check. You only need to send the required documents for the K-1 visa...Your cover letter, letter of Intent, $340 :devil: , Passport photo's, (Petitioner & Beneficiary), birth certificate, proof of meeting within the last 2 years, photo's of you both together...etc. :thumbs:

hello everybody!

I am the petitioner for a K1 Visa for my fiance. If I do not have a criminal record, do I need to send anything in along with my petition proving that I don't have a record? (like a background check).

I dont think that you need to send anything in, they conduct their own background checks on applicants, and beneficiaries... Read the instructions for the K1 visa and send what they require, and also you can send in evidence of your relationship like skype records, phone, email, pictures, plane tickets.
