I had 221g for CENOMAR REVERIFICATION for incorrect CENOMAR issued to me by NSO. I was married but it wasn't stated on the CENOMAR...and CO asked for my marriage certifiacte and death certificate of my late hubby. Then he told me to reverify my CENOMAR....my question is, after they reverified my CENOMAR and learned that i had previous marriage, do you think they will still do a background name checks? I will appreaciate all your inputs..:) Thanks. and God Bless!

CO requested a correct CENOMAR being you had been married before - give them what they requested exactly as stated on the 221g, turn it in and wait. Others have had the same request and received their passport with visa after.

A background name check will be completed each time you submit a G-325A (e.g.AOS, ROC). Given the number of interviews a CO does each day it is doubtful he/she will request another background check. When you get to the US and continue your visa journey at least two more background checks will be completed.

The form you received is most likely the MNL-IV-22. The infamous 221g form states your visa was denied and your paperwork is being returned to the NVC.
