Can a File Folder Case be allowed into Document Intake / Interview at Guangzhou?

I am wondering if the evidence box (it is a expandable filing textured design briefcase with a flap and handle, about the size of a normal brief case. it opens up and shows all the dividers and paperwork in each slot with description tabs.

I wondered if this will be allowed into the consulate? each item that is divided is less than 1" thick so if the VO needs something, my wife can pull it out and slip it through the window slot.

But I worry if they will force her to have to take out all the papers and just hold them in a pile and it will lose all the organizing. I am not able to find any info on how security works at Guangzhou.

I know no cell phones etc, but what about a brief case looking case file folder? or you just need to carry everything in separate file dividers?

Very good question. I am trying to be proactive and am assembling all of the documentation in a gray opaque Office Depot "poly 13-pocket file." expanding file with elastic closure.

Office Depot pocket file

Now I am wondering if I need to scrap that idea, or get a clear one?

Anything you need to turn in at the interview will need to fit through this window!

The folder you are planning to use is fine. It will be x-rayed by security personnel at the security check which is done prior to going into the interview area.

for interview day - can bring in that file folder thingie, you betcha.

for document intake day, are you expecting them to take the file folder thingie? I sense they won't do that.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

No no, she carry the file folder thingie to Document Intake and hand in what was required.

oh the emailed P4 had no list of anything, but I would assume they want the white books, medical, etc based on what is listed in the GUZ P4 website form. she will pull out what they need, then bring the carrying box back for interview with remaining evidence.

I have alreadt front loaded twice I130 submit and DS230 submit

re: white books - you've already sent those in, to NVC, so no.

re: medical - yup.

one note on PCC - if it's older than a year, comparing the issuance date to interview date, prep to get another one, soonish.

Well some say send in all evidence at document intake? but I will have her turn in what might be needed, then keep the rest for the interview.

Maybe she could turn in our Beijing Photos (4th meeting) at document intake? or just hold on to them till interview if asked for?

I had only up to 3rd visit documents and photos during DS-230.

I gotta tell ya -

any one who files via EP at NVC -

they are required to show all originals at document intake.

You did a 'paper file' instead, at NVC - so documents requested at NVC, submitted to NVC?

GUZ IV already has them, by the time the interview occurs

re: more photos - more photos is nice, a new EOR is nice, more marriage bonafides evidence is nice.

Yeah Ill have her send a copy of 4th visit photos at intake. but the updated EOR/notarized one for actual interview date in my passport would be fine?

My 2nd front load was exactly duplicates of everything I sent for the I130 plus additional email/text logs and 3rd visit photos and info. (and updated EOR)
