I'm getting somehow frustrated, I just want to vent. The process should have been started last August, we happened to hire a lawyer who left us hanging in Limbo... Hired another lawyer and I dont know what is wrong, like after filing some forms for her, and submitting it to her last December 16th, no news from her yet @_@.

I wonder sometimes about this so called Visa Lawyers!! :bonk:

The Visa process can be done by you the petitioner and beneficiary. My personal take on this is, Visa lawyers are only need when you have a extreme case. When your from a watch list country (terrorist countries) or have a complicated past with marriage, arrest, huge age difference.

You only need to do your due diligence and research. Visa Journey website has a gold mine of information and answers available for you for free. Not only that, you have other in the same boat with different stages of experience in the Visa process. Take advantage of the information and resources at your finger tips!!

I would suggest dumping the lawyers and save yourself a ton of money. They are doing the same things you would do but for a premium on your dime!! Unless your super busy and don't have the time. Then stick with the Visa Lawyers.

If you need any help or information, myself and VJ'ers are here to help you through this :D

Any questions Just ask and someone will definitely answer you.

Good Luck and God Bless

God Does for those who do for themselves..!!

After the debacle with the first lawyer, why hire another one??? May I ask why you do not think you can do the petition on your own???

Plenty of couples have done this themselves including us and it is definitely doable especially with the help of the VJ community.

Filing fee is $340.00 paid by petitioner and visa fee is $350.00 paid either by the petitioner or beneficiary.
