Hi everyone!

I'm going to get my passport and I wonder what IDs I'm going to need.

I don't have a Philhealth or SSS or Voter's ID. But I do have a Postal ID

as well as my philhealth's Member's Data Record (MDR). Will those be enough

as supporting documents for my passport application?

Thanks!

certified copy of birth certificate comes to mind as the number one document you will need, those others you listed I doubt they would want. I am sure they have a website with requirements also.

how soon are you going to embassy? The NBI clearance takes a while to get in the Brgy. If you can go to the main NBI office in Manila, you can get usually get it the same day. I would suggest getting a couple of copies of the NBI. The top portion of One will be used for passport, and top portion of the other one will be used at the US Embassy during the interview.

Please not the Philiippines passport photo is a little different in size from the US passport photo in size.

Wish you the best of luck.

Wow! All old, huh? I wish now that I didn't throw away some of my old documents like my 2008 NBI clearance and police stuff. I hope my OLD transcript of records will also be accepted. But thanks for the tip.

Oh! I'm not aware that I need several copies of my NBI too. Well, I'll make sure that I have at least 2 copies. (I hope 2 is enough???) How about my NSO for my Birth Certificate and Cenomar, will I need more than one copy each?

I appreciate your reply.

Okay, I'm texting with Tropical Rose right now and she just informed me that she went to get a new Voter's ID and it will be APRIL before a new one can be issued to her! Ugh.

I'm the USC and it's tough understanding the beaureaucratic mess that she has to go through, compared to the way it is here. And the slang usage isn't helping communication either. LOL

Sooo.. all that being said, what is the fastest second official ID she could obtain? Right now all she has is a Postal ID.

She currently doens't have a drivers license. Is that time consuming or difficult to get? I know that driving there is VERY different than it is here!

All suggestions appreciated!

Thanks!

May your visa journey be smooth and speedy.

All the above "suggestions" as quoted from the DFA, plus prepare yourself with old ID's at least 3-4 years old! Postal ID and Drivers License only if official and not from Recto. SSS ID requires opening up an account in QC and making 3 deposits then wait for releasing - they will need to see ID's also. Live Birth, CTC, Brgy, NBI, class photos, Form 137/PEPT w/seal, diplomas/certificates, baptismal book, any current and old OR's and post mail/cards with your name and address.

ID's are easily faked and often look better than the official ones. Double up on everything especially if Late Registration or simply use a travel agency to help sort out your documents.
