You guys ever notice that underarm hairs don't get split ends?

Split ends occur from a wide variety of things that mostly all come from the stem of "being exposed"

Your head hair is straightened, brushed, scrubbed, played with, slept on and you put product in it.

All of these things cause split ends.

Maybe if you start straightening, styling and braiding your armpit hair, you'll see split ends.

And likewise if you shave your head, use antiperspirant on it...:)

I did not want to think about that.

That small talk stuff. When we lived in Minnesota a few years ago, it started bugging me that everyone always asked how you were and for some reason the instinct is always to just answer "fine, you?". Our neighbors of course always said the same thing and as I was walking to down the hall one day and one of the neighbors that I never talked to, just say "how are you" was walking towards me. Of course he said "How are you?" I stopped, looked him straight in the eyes and was totally honest "Actually not that great, I'm tired and worn out". He is facial expression was priceless. He just gave me an empty stare and then said "you know what? I'm not doing that well either".

After that he and I proceeded to just say hi and nice to see you when we met. No more of the asking without wanting to know :)

I feel you there. Neighborly small talk I don't care, but I find it very rude when the waitress stops by while I am eating to make sure "everything is ok".

Shove then outside during a Minnesota blizzard and see if they get sick after a couple of hours.

My wife was shocked when I took a shower when I had a fever. After a night alternating between sweats and chills, I just wanted to feel clean again.

That's talented compared to what I create. I need something like ####### Eye for the Clueless Straight Woman.

Oh, and like all people from the Balkans, I think a draft will make you sick.

Interesting.

After I gave birth to my daughter, my husband and I were immediately attacked by Germans all over the age of 45 who swore our child was on death's door if she wasn't wearing six pairs of socks. The best time was in the middle of the summer. It was well into the 30s that day. I was shopping at the grocery store and had my kid in a Baby Bjoern. Before I even knew what was happening, this 50ish year old dude was in front of me and grabbed my kid's feet. He immediately called back to his wife that the baby was fine and the feet were not cold. WTlivingF? I gave him a look that would melt rocks and he just smiled like an idiot and said he had to know if she was fine.

Everybody knows babies need socks in Baby Bjørns.

My mother made me put socks on her and like three layers of clothes at all times and my mother was raised by a scary German lady, coincidence? ;)

I find my feet stay warmer if I take my socks off an hold them with my hands.

But then my hands smell.

No.

It was definitely a generational thing. No one under that age ever said anything about it and it was as much a foreign concept to my husband as it was to me, the sock witchhunt. Socks were a pain because they'd always end up falling off who knows where. If I had the stroller fine, but in most cases it was a major PITA to take the stroller anywhere, particularly since my husband bought this ATV of strollers. It had independent suspension and all the men would stop to circlejerk over it check it out. He was way proud of that thing. Anyway, it was hot enough that day with us strapped to each other. I was afraid more of overheating than freezing to death.
