Hello all,

My I-130 was approved yesterday (yay!), but the I-485 is still pending... Are there any courses of action I can take at this point? Maybe write to the Senator once I receive the approval notice for the I-130?

You have to wait until the time passes before going to the senator. You may be surprised to see your welcome letter next week. It happened to me. Not all adjudicator have the power to approve immediately.

Hi kcoy,

It seems like your I-130 was approved on the day of the interview and your I-485 approved the next day. Did you receive any emails/text messages when your I-485 was approved? I am concerned about my file because it has already been so long since my early November interview.

Employment based case:

Mine was approved after the interview; however, there was a v'jer who had her interview the next day with the same adjudicator and she did nit receive her approval after 2 months. I told her to get her local senator involved because the timeframe had passed and she did. The next day she received a notice that her card was in production. The sad thing was that her mother-in-law thought that immigration felt she had something to hide and that was the reason they delayed and it destroyed her marriage. Even though she received the card, her husband took his mom's side and left her. That was sad. I think immigration was concerned that she was a permanent resident of Canada, citizen of Algonia and now married to an American after 90 days of knowing each other. She had multiple entry visa in the US and even had a business here. It destroyed her marriage. I met her and she was genuinely in love with her husband. That was sad.

I think you posted in the wrong forum, most folk in this forum never file both the I-130 and I-485 to chase after a green card.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
