Hello,

I just registered and was very happy to find this helpful forum.

My I-485 package was sent on December 1st (per my lawyer with I-765 in same package)

I-485 was received at chicago Lockbox on 12/5/11

I-485 receipt notice was sent out (hardcopy) on 12/16/11

Biometrics appointment notice was sent out 12/20/11

Biometrics appointment set for 1/9/12

Question: I thought this includes the Employment Authorization which was sent out at the same time.

Will there be 2 seperate NOA1 for the I-485 and I-765?

Or does one notice mention both?

My notice says: 'I-485, application to register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.'

I am worried sick now that either it is taking much longer for I-765 or that it was not filed at the same time and my lawyer just filed it today when I asked him if it was filed.

Please help. I need to work ASAP.

Cheers,

Danny

You should get NOA1 for all forms you sent in - so I-485 and I-765. I hope the lawyer provided you with a complete copy of the application package for your records.

After NOA1 for I-765, it will be at least 60 but more likely 90 days before you will receive an EAD, you need to be patient.Often times, there can be another biometrics appointment - for EAD.
